Adam posted on his IG account that he came to Southwick a little under the weather. Said he maned up during the 2nd moto just to finish. Went straight to the Medical Trailer after the moto. Got off his bike and passed out.
Ty barfed on the second lap of the second moto and got leg cramps around the half way mark. He was in survival mode most of the moto.
I'm sure there were several others that had similar situations during the day at the Wick.
How can that be? The motorcycle does all the work....it has an engine after all.
Yeah, all of the people who say Southwick isn’t a real sand track…whatever, that’s not the point. The way it develops, it’s one of the tougher tracks in the world to race on.
Milleniums now r just lite weight yup can’t handle much n don’t have a work ethic probably drank too much 6 dollar coffees on the way to the track….yep I said it…
I can't tell if this new profeshenal clone is satire or for real.

But can you imagine if Lommel got that hot? I hate to even picture it.
Lars Van Berkel finished 16th overall at Southwick. Then drove 7hrs to Gofer Dunes the next day and finished 2nd overall!! These other guys need to Harden the F up! LOL, that looked brutal Saturday. Even Jett said after the second moto on the podium his legs were shaking.
I think most of the guys should go back to the drawing board as far as the training side is concerned... Some were sad looking on saturday...
Some guys don't fade so it's obviously possible. I've trained a guy who never faded for 24 motos a couple years ago. If I can come up with a program to deal with the challenges of 12 Nationals, anyone can. The fitness side of things is the easiest part of this sport, repetition, dedication, work when tired, very long training sessions @ low BPMs, active recovery and healthy diet. There's no magic pill...
The tough part of our sport is to look effortless like the rookie when he feels someone is too close to him and turn on the "Jetts" looking like he's breaking in a 90s 125 2 stroke...
Maybe AC should go train during the week instead of playing golf.
As someone who's been there, done that, what do you think of Jett? What does your trained eye see when you watch him ride?
95 season, brutal heat on the old track. It puts to rest any question re MC's outdoor chops.
Didn't Emig wear a black jersey at Gatorback when it was sweltering one year? Just to fuck with everyone else
Crazy, these guys are animals. Motocross is so intense, I’ve never done a 35min Moto at full speed… 20mins is enough for me.
I have been told a few times it’s easy, like driving a car to the store… I had to laugh.
No surprise, He looked strong in the second moto.
He also made some sick passes in that moto at the top of the first hill. At least one lap he passed two guys in one shot and got a third in the next corner.
Having raced Southwick more than many, but less than some, I can attest to the fact that the most difficult thing about the track is that there is absolutely nowhere to rest in the entire lap. If you are any less than 100%, you will die.
Stink bait!
Its brutal. I hadn't rode there in a decade and raced it last summer. I remembered it having way more of a base. It was way deeper than I remembered.
Pit Row
I wonder if the new management has been replenishing the sand...
Perfection... He looks like a GMO rider where they took the best qualities from several legends of our sport and made 1 rider. Pretty astonishing!
this is from one of the euros that raced it. He seemed to think it was fine.
straight from le cobras mouth I agree dude!!!!! legend potential
Appreciate the response!
50 new truckloads they said on tv and it looked as so compared to last year it hardly looked like a true sand track I said this is not the Southwick I remember when I watched last year big rain storm came through a night or to before maybe that played part but it looked like classic wick this year just missing junkyard and Henry the JYD was one of my favorites I bet the old man could qualify if he pressed for it for 6 months legendary
Exactly why Texas is not allowed a National. Heat and humidity is not a joke.
Grocery warehouse outside of Milwaukee checks us for guns with a wand. Where such badasses. Ty puked on the 2nd lap that has nothing to do with the track. I,ve spent 20 min everyday throwing up so hard I burst the blood vessels in my eyes for 7 weeks straight. That’s from a beaten trk. Mostly white foam comes up& a little fluid. 190+ & high humidity in the cab. How about 190+ inside of a trl hand unloading 46k. I was 3 1/2 hrs from Southwick sat it wasn’t hot at all just a tiny bit muggy.
He wore it the whole season including the hottest race ever 97 Troy,Oh. Same race Damon Huffman won against RC. 95 Southwick Tim Ferry on a RM125 had the coolest move I ever saw at that track. Straight away to the frog pond drop. Tim is 4th wo pre jumps b4 the drop pinched it sideways & down at speed then drops in. It’s on yt Henry& Lammy had a Great battle. It was featured in the vhs movies. I,m sure DV12 was watching a little bit of the nationals to check there speed in 95. 98 DV12 had it going on watch Foxhills Nunn is riding out of his skin the crowd is going nuts while he’s battling the unbeatable Chiodi. The Le Cobra is cool but they should’ve called him the Flying Spyder . Like bam he,s in the lead like a Flying spyder attack. Rt out of nowhere bam I got cha. Ever had a spyder attack ya. It’s like dam where did he come from. Haha
AC is more worried about his podcast 😂
That’s an awesome effort by LVB.
He did that at Troy. It was awesome.
