I don’t follow the French National as much anymore but watching the results he’s been winning rounds so his speed must be good. Romain Pape was barely a top10 guy in 450 in France and he top10 motos twice here in Outdoor.

I saw he had good results in the French championships and finished second in the standings, but his results at the two GPs he did were 14th and 16th. Based on that, I have no idea where to place him. Could be top 10 or just outside of it. 

Either way, it's cool to see more guys crossing the pond and giving the US Nationals a shot. 

Edit: Do you know if he's switching teams next year? In the wrap-up video, he said he was happy to get the win for the team at the last round since it was his final race with them.

I think guys in 15th in regular GP rounds are a bit better riders overall. But we never know, the tracks are really different than French tracks lol so he could feel a bit lost. To me he’s more of a hardpack guy, he’s from the south of France.

I honestly have no clue, not living in Europe anymore so it makes it harder to know those little deals between French teams. It’s hard to make much money in France even being a podium guy, there isn’t enough rounds.

Josh toth is in for southwick in the 250s. I have no idea if he will Even make the motos. I think canning is racing as well but I have no idea if he’s healthy. He got hurt at a gncc earlier this year.

Canning, Toth and Decotis. 

I've seen decotis at the local tracks on open practice days. He looks fast AF right now.

Rubini is riding for Bud Kawasaki when he comes to the US, so I guess that is where he will be next year.

What is the reason for French (Bud kawa) and English (SC sporthomes) teams to do some wildcards with Rubini & Talviku in the US, over riding in the GP's?

Thanks, and that would make sense concerning next year. 

I don't know how much time he has on a Kawi, but those 3 rounds could be difficult on a new bike. It takes time to adapt, but it's still cool that he's giving it a shot.

Whoever is fastest in the first B practice, whether it’s 250 or 450, will have a top-five qualifying time in that class. I guess that might not be a surprise though.

Wow, I didn't realize it had been that long. 
He was 30 or early thirties in the late '90s when Yamaha put him on a YZ125 to try and beat RC. (1998, I'd say.) That would put him at least in his mid 50s... yikes, I'm getting old.

He was 30 or early thirties in the late '90s when Yamaha put him on a YZ125 to try and beat RC. (1998, I'd say.) That would put him at least in his mid 50s... yikes, I'm getting old.  

Dowd is 57.

Speed never seemed to be Jimmys problem.  I’m pumped he’s making a showing and I hope it goes well.  I’m also excited for Josh Toth and I’ll be surprised if he’s not in the top 20.

Since the GNCC series is on summer break, it would be awesome to see some more of those guys show up and race.  Maybe Ben Kelly, Craig Delong, and the Baylor brothers.

Well, Swedish guy Anton Gole could suprise. Good sand rider and has beaten Butron straight up in multiple MXGP occasions. Butron got a couple top 10s this season. Don’t know the program Gole is running over here and didn’t see him this year in MXGP.

Same for Van Berkel who got a 13th in 2nd moto in Red Bud, he also could put in a good effort. (Top 10 wise)

               If JoJo shows up to spectate, the cheers for him will be twice as loud as the cheering for the Lawrence Brothers. Not a Hater, but New England is hardcore when it comes to their own heroes.
