What’s the background of this Cooksey guy?

He’s not credible and makes up a lot of false information that can be harmful to some of the riders. Not sure why he has so many followers. 

Clickbait titles, mostly. 
 

His subscribers are probably the type that buy the tabloids at the grocery registers. 
 

I nearly puke when I hear him do his ‘Cooksey mob’ deal. The narcissism is strong with that one…..

I remember shit talking his click bait "edgy" articles when he worked here...

Guy has unpopular takes just to rile people up. Probably doesn't even believe most of the crap he spews.

He's everything that is wrong with current mainstream news media, brought to moto.

We have built a society with an "eye blink" attention span, and a hunger for practically any kind of TMZ-type information. Cooksey  is basically a bottom feeder who builds his reputation (and bank account) on hits/clicks, not on truthful reporting. He probably gives zero shits about any damage his "infotainment" causes riders, as long as he fulfills his mission...and bank account.

He started out as a 6 foot tall sentient penis with a pair of googly eyes on it, then he got real into clickbait moto videos and made-up gossip, while staying true to his roots as a penis.

I think he was in an 80's movie with some kids looking for lost treasure..?

You ever notice how he alway's talks to "someone in their camp"....never to the involved parties....that tells you everything you need to know about this bottom feeder....

And here you all are talking about him, propagating everything you have issues with. 

It's clear he has an axe to grind with RC and DC and has no issue making shit up to get noticed. 

I never liked the guy, but the Josh Demuth crap was the final straw for me.  Cooksey is a colossal douche.

I don't like how he trash talks RC.  Maybe some of it is true but so what.  RC is a former motocross racer, not a politician or member of the clergy.  Dude needs to seriously chill out.

Johnny Hopper who was also little bit out there with his Kawasaki took tomacs factory parts off the bike story. He is now making  really good content about the races on YouTube. Kudos to him.

No doubt he has been and still is a regulation v'tard under various usernames.

His heart is often in the right place, he often knows his shit, has accurate info on rumors.

From LinkedIn - Looks like it’s Chris Cooksey. He has a picture of himself sitting on a bike with a jersey that says “Cooksey” #61. There’s no evidence that he has ridden motocross. Apparently he posted that he had a degree in Communications at Arizona State University but only lists 2 years from 1999-2001. There’s no actual background on him other than what he’s stated/provided. He’s refers to himself as a “freelance journalist”. There might be a way to verify his claims but it would take some digging other than just google.

But no credible sources other than his own claims about himself.

Cooksey is the Jerry Springer of moto. Dudes a clown. 

I found out about him from the Deegan bike claim.  Everyone was calling him a lunatic but he ended up being spot on.  He knows some guys in the industry.
