Talk to Kris Keefer about it. That’s what he said.
To be fair, the two things the "average" dirt bike owner seems to love spending money on is graphics and a pipe.
Ah yes...the boldest of BNG.
Stupid question of the day…but you tech guys (translate: smarter than me) can probably answer. Can an E-Start be installed on a RMZ? If it can be…what is the difficulty rating?
If I was in the market for a 450/250 MX bike, i'd buy one. Spend the savings on mods.
Yellow Zooks....still the best looking bikes out there. (coming from a Yamaha lifer)
Two asinine “thumbs down” but no replies. Can it be done or not?
I reckon if it were cheap or easy someone would be selling a kit.
Keefer never specifically said that. Matthes said he thought it would have E-start though.
I talked to one of Suzuki's test riders on Sunday last week
He told me Suzuki actually hired a new Motocross only test rider (everyone else quit or were moved)... except he has no motocross bikes to test so he is testing V-stroms/adventure bikes
so that sums up how much development is going on in Japan
(But if you are a street bike fan There is something slowly happening for a new GSXR... )
I seem to recall the rmx cases or something like that would swap without issue but I could be wrong.
This company makes them for older YZF’s and 2 strokes. Maybe they could work up something?

Yep.
24.5 RMZ FWE will have the button!
Pit Row
If I remember correctly you have to use the rmx head as well. There is someone that recently did it and doesn’t seem worth it.
Actually I think last year they came out with tuning via your cell phone kind of like Yamaha then nobody acknowledged it they just kept saying bold new graphics now yes it comes with a titanium exhaust pipe and people still say bold new graphics this bike is a great deal if you ask me. I have never had a Kickstarter fail can't say the same thing for E start. If you had electric start fail on you smash that like button. Anybody here had an electric starter fail on the side of a big hill in Colorado like I have.
Why get 2nd when you can get 7th!!
Because who cares if you get 7th? You going to be racing for money or going pro, you tell me?
Well, maybe Suzuki has it right and all the other manufactures have it wrong? The need to release a new model every four years has a significant cost and R&D /manufacturing etc. Suzuki proved its old bike can still be competitive in the right hands. With the ever changing economy and the continued cost of a new bikes approaching /passing the 12k+ barrier, will other manufactures start pushing out new bike releases to 5 or 6 years with just minor updates to keep costs in line? I realize Suzuki situation is extreme and doubt a new model will ever come, But will us the buyers / riders be willing to pay 17-20k for a 2030? What tech can be added to even make it worth it? Real time suspension adjusting? Traction Control? The ability to buy factory suspension? Which looks awesome.. but would never benefit from?
Suzuki will just keep putting out the same product and those who don't mind it being not the most advanced bike will still have a good time, I hoped the KROC experiment would help.. even ran up front out doors.. but nope.
The team usually gets a cut of the purse. They care.
Suzuki is really dropping the ball not implementing an E-Start. The bike is fine outside of that as is proven by winning races this year and factory teams could even shave the extra weight.
This just really seems like the final nail in the coffin when they have a race winning, potentially championship level rider, on your bike for the foreseeable near future. I think there is something to be said about not reinventing the wheel every 4 yeats but if the previous wheel was an octagon and you've already made round wheels it seems ass-backwards to not update that part.
At this point I'm just reminded of the Vital user that was insistent on the 2023 having 5+ HP and being 10 lbs lighter with E-Start. Where'd he go?
He most definitely specifically said it. Actually said that had it ready to go before Covid and just got delayed.
"consists of a special set of components"
E start is nice for sure! I like having the option tho as well. Kickstart will always produce no matter what!
I am waiting on the 24.6 myself
They’re even missing the boat on price…
Compared to the Honda “S”, the Zook needs to sell for $7,999.
