Not sure I get it, either.

I didn't need adapters, just removed the stock Pro Taper "Fat Bar" and put the (Windham/Reed) 998 Twinwall's on.

I'm 6'2" and they are very comfortable; tried running a 996 bend and couldn't gel with it.

Windham bend bars are too tall for the ergo's of a modern bike. I know a lot of you 5'11 guys/hells angels think you want ape hangers, but you don't.

If its about  being cool, wearing red boots on a Yamaha or blue boots on a ktm is cool.. because this means you don't feel the need to go buy new stuff all the time and you don't care what people think, so that makes you cool, period.

It wasn’t necessarily the bars, but the bars with the 1 1/8th adapters on 7/8th clamps.

You get zero dork points for that because it’s for off roading and pretty much a necessity. Different rules apply. 🤣 BTW, if you have an 83 YZ125 I want to see it. Been looking for one as that was my first new full size bike.

I'm not a pot smoker - never have been, this is what pot smokers have told me it means.  Maybe I was told wrong.  Definitely not my thing by any means.

If you’ve ever ridden a Yamaha off road, you know that chain guide is gonna go “bye bye” very shortly.  One of the first things I do is take off the stock chain guide and put on a TM designs one (Ive been stranded a time to many because of the stock chain guide).  It’s always the weld attaching the chain guide to the swing arm that goes…but the plastics seems to give just enough that it quadruples the life of that little weld.
