Crazy to think that Tomac could have easily been out for the season with his big crash if he hadn't landed on the tuff blocks.  And, with all of Sexton's crashes he could have easily been out at some point too which would have left Kenny to win the championship on the Zook.

My buddy asked me a question today: “if the Supercross season ran continuously, how long until Logan Karnow or similar privateer is winning all the races because everyone is gone?”Lol

Id say we are almost there…

That is one of the wildest seasons I have seen, particularly in 450. At the beginning of the season, with kinda 20/22 factory riders, we were wondering if some pretty solid names could even make the main, then late in the season some are now getting close to a top 5-8 ! Brutal.

An unfortunate but telling stat I saw somewhere:

Only Tomac and Roczen have completed every 450 main lap this season.

You know, Forkner works very hard to get on this list. He should be mentioned first every year..

Copy and paste from another thread because its just as relevant. This F_ucking sport is so got damned backwards. The damn injuries and the list of injured riders every year due to the extremities of the track designs caused by the capabilities of the modern day bike. It has exceeded the threshold of the human body. The way the riders are treated like a circus show scooped off the track so the show can continue is ridiculous. The fact that the riders actually have to pay to participate in the pro races. Who the hell is pocketing the cash? Why the hell are these riders fed through the meat grinder, Do these crazy ass tracks make for better racing and improve the sport as a whole. Short sighted and greed seem to run the model. F_uck the 450, it has no place in modern moto. The overall power and capabilities of modern motocross bikes are excessive.  Wonder why moto is on the decline, give me logical reasons why this sport should thrive, it just aint worth it. Stupid. There is no damn way the race shouldnt have been stopped and every precaution should have been taken to safely remove cooper webb off the track and properly taken care of. Sad. It is a dying sport. Wonder why. 60 hp ICE is too damn much now we have a damn 80 hp max torqued dildo coming out soon that will change the sport. Probably gonna pile drive the sport into oblivion.

You know...a simple "I absolutely hate this sport" would've been nice.

So much for the 450s have too much power theory, there are more 250 riders out.

I'll bite! I love riding and the escape it provides but as a sport the current model makes no sense to me. None.

Feld should do some serious self reflection regarding the meat grinder of the series decimating the top riders of the world. I’m not saying to bubble wrap everyone but maybe tone down some of the tracks to make for better racing and a healthier field. These are the best in the world dropping like flies. This is supercross not Roman gladiators lol

Same shit posts, different year. Yes, it’s dangerous. Always has been. It’s also THE most exciting form of racing I know of and the riders voluntarily line up. Some of you likely also want to cancel the Isle of Man TT. Talk about a gnarly event. Eliminate all the jumps and berms from SX and you have flat track racing, in which racers also get wrecked. 250 vs 450 is also a shit argument. None of the guys out there are asking for your sympathy; they all know the risks…and keep coming back for more. Enjoy the show.

Eventually the circus will tire of all the performers falling off the high wire and missing the net.  It won't happen until it affects their bottom line.  If and when it does, then you'll see some changes.  Until then, they'll just continue to recruit new clowns to distract you.  The show must go on!

If this doesn't tell ya that the bikes are too fast, tracks are too gnarly and the season is too long-then I don't know what will.

Yep, outdoors seems to claim less riders than SX.

I’m gutted for the injured but if wasn’t for Eli and the Lawrence brothers (and RJ) the outdoors would be fairly open.

No one seems to realize, speed is the issue....  Faster and faster, for what?   Someone watch racing from 2000.  The only difference is speed.  Impact the ground at a greater speed equals greater injuries.  4b43b77b36884db1bdc7de2c9db44c7d.jpg?VersionId=H Uc37tlsDmtNXtSxw1O6aq r
