Damn, absolutely brutal hit. There’s no way they could allow Coop to race tonight, he literally fell over clearly concussed.
Thank God he walks. Probably could care less right now about a championship
That was a brutal hit. I hope he will be ok.
I'm not for diagnosing someone over the TV, but that looked really bad.
Exactly. No matter who you’re a fan of that was hard to watch. Poor Coop.

That slow-mo replay was so bad. Like it made me feel sick seeing it.
Cooper should be strapped to a backboard.
I don’t think he’s concussed. I’m predicting a broken scapula or clavicle.
That’s was a brutal hit. Am I the only one that thinks he should have been on a back board? As they took him off the medic was holding his head still.
Yeah that was tough watch. There's absolutely nothing Adam could have done to avoid that, hopefully he doesn't take accountability for it and effect his focus tonight.
3 for #3
I don’t want to see a title end like that either, but that’s the least of my concerns with what we just watched. Only thing I looked for was upper body movement, then lower body
Prayers for Coop. Championship loss is far less important than an injury. That was a brutal hit to the head.
Hated to see him crying in that segment. You know for him the pain was for the championship slipping away.
Once again, don't want to diagnose someone over the TV, but isn't a symptom of a severe concussion is crying immediately afterward?
I think knowing the championship is over is enough to make any man cry.
Clavicle
Dude's knees were wobbling when he stood up. He almost definitely has a concussion. Likely back/neck and shoulders too.
Are you guessing or have inside info?
And to the OP, it’s pretty rare that in our sport that it comes down to a last round championship battle. We’ve had a ton of great racing this season and for that, I’m thankful! The SMX championship at the end of the year should be really entertaining.
Fan or not, nobody wanted to see it end like this.
Still, it was a helluva run by Webb.
Pit Row
That was tough to watch. Prayers for Cooper.
Backboards are done. He needs to be on a scoop stretcher or a vacuum mattress; is the current industry standard. Extricating and transporting a person with multi system trauma/spinal trauma is purely a EMS thing that is not practiced in the hospital for obvious reasons. The problem with alpinestars medical crew is they are a bunch of nurses and doctors that have no experience extricating or transporting a person.
That trauma was directly to the spine and Webb deserves better
Sitting up on a Kawasaki mule with manual spinal immolation is crap.
A hard hit to the head can cause you to be more emotional. I’ve experienced that. You realize you are unusually emotional, but can’t do anything about it. He has a reason to be upset so I can’t say the reason is a hit.
I have never seen anyone crying afterward. like somewhere else said, the loss of a championship was more in line with the tears.
Do you even know any of the alpinestars crew? I personally know the guy who was on the mule with Webb & he’s actually a former marine medic, works at the local ems & fire dept. He knows how to transport people. Plus Bodnar is a former trauma doc
I hope he gets a cat scan to rule out any brain bleeds. That was a serious shot to the head
hate to see that for him.
I work in the ED as an RN and most ems guys/gals I know would have had him on a board and collar. I guess I work in poorer areas as I have never seen a vacuum mattress . I have seen a scoop stretcher a couple times. The last level 2 I was at had them. I trust most of the ems people I work with but just like nursing, they are letting just about everything practice as emt/medics now days. That said, some of the smartest people I have met were some jam up good medics. I was envious of how good they were
You would think after the French guy they failed a couple years ago. I cannot remember his name, Brian maybe. I know the Musquin's help him recover.
100% sure he is getting a cat scan. It will happen fairly quickly you'd hope.
Brian Moreau.
Pretty much just lost interest in this SX season. It started out one of the best. To see it end like this just sucks. Seriously bummed for Coop.
Injuries after injuries in this sport.
I sure as hell don't remember it being like this in the 80s
Too many dirt bike racers in wheelchairs now for alpinestars to have this relaxed attitude about spinal trauma. Cooper Webb should have been on a vacuum mattress or scoop stretcher.
If they are so good then why did they take no precautions whatsoever for a person with direct spinal trauma. Maybe Webb refused spinal immobilization?
