If 250 2-strokes never went away.. Who do you think would be able to ride them the fastest in supercross/motocross? Who has the style that best suits a 2-stroke? Who would be the most aggressive in their corners? Who would make the least mistakes? Just curious what you guys think.
Barcia.
Idk but Barcia would be the most fun to watch (and listen to) for sure
Roczen looked spicy at straight rhythm, that whip/scrub was nasty
Tomac already holds it pinned and modulates the power with the clutch. It would suit him well.

Not much would change in terms of who is at the front, but the gaps between the top riders and the rest would be bigger.
RC.
The same guys that are upfront now.
+ 1
This. Skills are skills.
It is just another motocross bike with a moderately different power delivery that fast guys would quickly adapt to. It's not like you are asking who would be fastest in a go kart or anything.
Musquin looked great on it at straight rhythm.
Barcia is one of the last guys of the current crop to have raced a 125 in amateurs.
Almost like the old joker lane, what if they had a single 2 stroke round in the SX series and another one in the MX series?
My prediction is those would be the most anticipated rounds. I’d travel to attend that.
Tomac.
Someone like Sexton would be slower on a 2 stroke imho
Yeah the triple quad quad rhythms aren’t enough we need these guys hurt BAD. Let’s give them bikes they’ve never been on before. Wait until we introduce the lions on lap 15.
My guess is pierce brown would smoke them all.
The top guys were all top guys their entire lives (even back when they rode 85s which are 2 strokes) nothing would change.
This, Barcia would be even more sketchier
Didn't Cooper Webb ride a CRF150 in the mini ranks? I feel like someone who did would have a little more trouble adapting to the 2 stroke power delivery
Pit Row
Dungey would smoke them all on a KTM250SX.
Musquin looks pretty good on them. That video of him riding the new 300SX was pretty spicy
Jimmy Decotis would make an epic comeback in the 125 class.
Stew would still be racing and have 234 SX wins
Didn't Kenny race a two stroke in his last GP?
Lobster Claws.
I am not sure about todays riders, but I do know that Chad Reed was amazing on the 2-stroke. His 2003 and 2004 sx results reflect this, and I think his style and technical ability on a bike perfectly suited the 2-stroke. Shortly after, it went all 4 strokes.
Yep, Stank Dog would be the front runner!
He raced a 125 at the last round in 2011.
Qualified 4th. Finished 5th in moto 1 and DNFed the 2nd moto.
Between Tomac and Roczen for outright speed.
