I would say Yes but RC lapped the entire field in a mud race.

RC keeps repeating he raced against a few former champions, not over a dozen. Ricky was not a standout mud rider irrespective of the race you alluded to. Also not a current pro.

My guess would be between Barcia and AP. Sucks Aaron wasn’t able to line up.

if we are going with current riders that is.

Yeah I’d say him or AP. Tomac is always solid in the mud as well

I didn’t know AP was a mud rider, thought he was fast on hard pack for some reason.

Bam’s ride made the evening. I’ve said it before, but it’s going to be a bummer when he hangs it up.  Not too many left like him, whether you like him or not. Dude loves to race.

Seattle SX ‘18 - dominated

Ironman National ‘18 - went 1/1 on the day

Those two stick out to me. I’m not sure he’s had a 450 mudder in his career yet with his random injuries here & there

Big deal, that was a hollow win for Barcia.

Barcia is in the best place mentally of any rider out there. Nobody was beating him with a start, rain or no rain. Will the rest of his wins be hollow as well?

There was less champions back then because Carmichael was winning everything.

He's one of the best in a muddy supercross, without a doubt.

Guy wins one race and you start a thread on him being the best “…” rider in the (US) world? Lol

Nobody was beaing him rain or no rain? How many wins does he have on the season when it didn't rain?

Roczen had the best lap time and tomac didn’t need to win. Barcia is good for sure.

Both Barcia and Roczen are great in the mud....so no surprise in the results

Barcia lives on the rev limiter (no fun to hear constantly) so that might help the rear wheel clear itself of mud when in the air  lol

AP was less than stellar in the mud at the Des Nations at RedBud.

I will let you know when the season is over.

Just a few more things he has going for him currently.

He is going the speed

Nobody on the track wants to make contact with him

By all accounts the bike is outstanding for him

His fitness does not seem to be an issue

lol, Bam Bam Barcia

thinking back on it, AC was on for a damn good night as hes a solid mud guy too.

AP raced GNCC, AC is tall which helps in the mud. Possibly part of the reason Benny Bloss did so well.

Once upon a time he used to beat factory 250 riders around MTF sx track in the wet on a 125.

Yes but he lapped the entire field. Remember the hill that Reed and Stewart could not even make it over? RC just rode by looking at them. And that's Reed and Stewart! Those guys were kind of good.

Bam had zero to lose if he crashed in the mud and almost got bucked a few times. He was the best mud rider in the USA last Saturday night no doubt. Must keep in mind other great mud racers in the field had different motives than just winning one race on this particular evening.

Not sure who you are talking about. Even Tomac looked like he was going for it. Just didn't happen. The other contenders said I need points more than  anything but I will loose as few as possible instead of going for it?
