Gotta love out sport. Literally zero information on the press conference from any media outlet 3 hours after it was suppose to happen. I guess we'll find out in the June issue of Cycle News.

Hey Vital staff, step your game up.

Dudes not in the championship and just dives in on a track like this??? WHY!!? I’ve liked Barcia despite everyone’s complaints but this was too much.

Sexton has to beat Tomac for your logic to be valid. Since he can’t do that, Sexton is statistically out of the hunt unless he hires Tonya Harding. Until he does that, Sexton isn’t a winner in the premier class  He should start using his middle name to stop mentally reinforcing his first name.

I’ll help you re write here: “Sexton and Barcia aren’t in the championship but that was good racing.”

He could have won that clean…..but he had to bambam….and didn’t.  In the mud there was no way for Chase not to go down.  I know all the “it’s racing” comments coming…but that kind of racing makes for worse races.  That would have been better with Chase and Eli battling and bambam would have won.  He was faster than anyone….and still bambam.  The funny comment last week about only 1 takeout this season??  Really??  He took out Colt the same night as Chase…and there were others in the season.  Anyway…takes some shine off what would have been a win anyway.

So, can you answer this, if Barcia didn’t pass Sexton, would his team and sponsors reward him for being a “responsible and respectful” rider or, reward him for passing and winning?  Would the presenters, Feld, the AMA, etc. have rewarded Barcia if he had done it your way?  If the answer is no then what are you saying?

Sexton has to beat Tomac first, which he cannot do.

Antsie had the best podium interview I ever heard. That was a hoot. The end of the 250 race looked like the 250 LCQ. RJ gets the full send of the year award for sure.

Barcia's pass on Sexton was fine, dude saw his opportunity to go for the win and a big part of that was keeping Sexton behind him. It just puts a damper on the end of the championship. Tomac with an 11 point lead over Webb feels like a stranglehold, and the only guy who has been as fast/faster than Tomac is back to 21 points down.

Barcia sees always an opportunity.Laughing

I like Sexton and had him for the win in Fantasy…but you can’t leave the door open that wide in the beginning of a mud race! Getting to the front early in a mud race is critical…Barcia”s pass was a classic Sx block pass. Well done JB51…

Have to give props to BamBam, dude is one of the best mud riders ever, maybe only second to Pourcel.

Outside of des nations, i believe the last mud race was loretta lynns during the 2020 nationals where Eli's kawi expired in both motos. That sound right? I feel like Im forgetting one.

Cant remember the year but think it was the same race that reeds bike smoked and puttered to a stop at the base of the finish line. It was seattle. Im pretty confirmed that tomac showed out at that one and won. Could be wrong though

That's ridiculous! Barcia executed a beautiful block pass, the track was the only thing dirty about it.

Like i said i dont have alot of issue with that move.  Its the fact he has 1000 incidents and NEVER gets punished.  This happened right in front of me and i called it before the last triple. I am getting tired of watching him screw up others races.  Riders are afraid of him.

The 250s was a win for the Empire.

Will the 250 podium get the OBE?

If they're afraid of him, then they need to ride faster or get out of the way.

By the way did anyone catch that Jett rode the main event with his transparent jacket on? Not sure if that was on purpose or he forgot to take if off before the start

I was wondering why he was the only one smart enough to wear one figured he'd win.

Barcia's move on Sexton wasn't that bad last night, but what I don't get is how most on here would've torched Vince for the exact same move.  All I'd like to see is some consistency from this group as well as the AMA.

After reading your post's about the race and Barcia in general may I suggest an improvement to your screen name how about trying "rejet my brain"

Vitard consistency is an oxymoron.. consistently inconsistent?

Sexton has to beat Tomac first, which he cannot do.

Okay…I will answer in order.  Barcia was fastest from the gate drop and he knew it.  He could have made a clean pass within a lap after people settled a little.  Sponsors…if you polled supercross fans who they disliked the most of the top 10 ranked riders then bambam will win.  Zero doubt.  That is bad for sponsors. If I like a rider he can influence a purchase.  If I don’t it negatively influences me regardless if he wins.  He could have passed clean and won.  He was the fastest.  Take outs make for a worse race imo.  We want leaders battling the whole race and we want good championship battles.  Bambam takes away from that and he did last night.  All my opinion so feel free to disagree.

also…it is painful to discuss much here because most have never raced….much less raced a mudder.  The ediquette is different in a mudder because they are brutal to ride.  People, that aren’t dicks, generally try not to put eachother down in the mud because it sucks…so yes..last nights pass did not appear as dirty as thousands of bambam takeouts…but it was a take out in a mudder race and bambam knew it would be.  You can like it…I don’t.  Back to the sponsor question.  There is nothing I will buy because bambam uses it.  The only things I wear or use in common with him I use despite him…not because of.

also….you don’t know if Eli would have beat Chase straight up last night had bambam not taken Chase out.  I wanted to see that.
