Especially with Cameron McAdoo out with a shoulder injury why would Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki wast his talent in the Futures race at this weekends Glendale SX? When he already Proved himself last year.! Kawasaki seems to be turning their backs on Ryder, Started on the KX60… winning a number of amateur champions for the future Monster Energy Pro Circuit team (The next Adam Cianciarulo) now rumors are that he’s going to Gas Gas next year which I don’t understand since they are losing Jo Shimoda to Honda and maybe Austin Forkner? They seemed to be screwing over their future?

Gotta wrap them in cotton wool so they are ready for outdoors round 1.
I really feel like Tom vialle is going to be sidelined soon for mx.
What do you mean by the Vialle comment?
Ryder D has been an interesting one they seem pretty hesitant in racing him whether it's speed or a attitude problem I don't know, I'm pretty sure PC would know more than us about their rider.
'We'll race him when its time'.
Cant think of anyone i have seen with so much hype, and so little seat time.
With McAdoo out its a no brainer.

"Yeah we'll get there, we'll race him when it's time."
He has had a few decent crashes in sx.
He pretty much has had 1 each race.
I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't race the last 3-4 sx races to avoid injury and to prepare early for mx.
Got ya…. I’ve been impressed by Vialle’s SX effort as nearly a complete rookie, and in all honesty I wouldn’t care less if he didn’t complete SX so as to be healthy and prepped for Outdoors, but that doesn’t seem to be the intention?
Looking forward to what he may bring to the Nationals.
Maybe Ryder chose GasGas over PC instead of PC just dropping Ryder.
What is this news about PC losing Jo to Honda??
Is this real; can anyone point me to where this was mentioned?
The word is that Honda and Star have made offers to Jo but Jo wants a contract with a guaranteed 450 ride. Myrtle his agent is probably leveraging these offers against Kawi to get more money and that guaranteed 450 year Jo wants. I don’t think Kawasaki is going to let Jo go and I don’t think he really wants to go anywhere either.
This has recently been talked about by all of the usual moto podcasters.
Thank you, I'm like two weeks behind on podcasts at the moment and trying to catch up.

Wonder why they’re keeping him in futures now that the point out rules changed. Let him cook!
What amazes me is you take these young guys on any team that has not raced sx before. You put them on the test tracks twice a week for 3 or 4 months. What do you expect to happen to them as the pound laps out before racing.
How can you guarantee a ride when you don't know if the rider ever gets there?
I get jo wanting a 450 ride but he can legit win 250 Titles so I also get teams wanting him on the 250. I wonder how common it is if kawi said you win xyz and this clause that allows you to get a 450 year is activated.
Last weekend at the LLQ in Bakersfield Ryder D rolled in Saturday morning, they watered before a B/Vet moto so he took a sight lap during that moto then lined up & won Open Pro Sport on a KX450 with an oversized tank, PC exhaust, stock triple clamps & stock forks (they had no stickers on them, does not mean they were not valved, sprung correctly but not sure). Competition was Beaumer, Reynolds, Jacob Hayes). I believe Hayes got 2nd in moto 2.
Not sure what the move is to show up & ride this race but maybe just wanted a gate drop. Regardless I thought he looked rock solid on a stock appearing 450.

I think the premise is does the team want him on a 450 when he gets there. Kawi and PC are different teams. Honda and Yamaha are 1. He rode a Handa and I believe his father has ties to Honda as well
Yamaha is actually two separate teams although they are both Star. The 450 riders are contracted through Yamaha that's why last year Craig had two separate contracts one with Star to race 250's and the other with Yamaha to race 450 outdoors.
They may be different teams but i think Kawasaki has some money involved in rider contracts
They do depending on the rider. Kawasaki pays the majority of Forkner and Reynolds salary and Ryder is under a Kawasaki team Green contract.
About the "...and maybe Austin Forkner" comment - I don't think anyone would shed one single tear if he left PC. Not he, not his family, and not Mitch. I'm sure they love working together, but that kid needs a change of environment worse than anyone in pro motocross. Put him on a KTM, Yamaha or a freaking Suzuki, for crying out loud; he'd probably stay healthier!
Best of luck to Forkner. I hope he finally has a good season soon.
past 3 injuries haven’t been his fault. Not sure how a new team can change luck
he doesn't look as comfortable on 250f compared to previous years.
i really wish they had a 125 class in pro ranks. seems like kids are getting hurt way to often and struggle with the massive jump from supermini to 250s
Too many manufactures are rushing amateurs into the pro ranks and kicking them to the curb as soon as they struggle to adapt to the pro ranks. I think they understand they have an elite rider in the making and they're playing the long game with Ryder.
He just broke his wrist a few months ago right? Seems like the logical thing to do to get him ready for outdoors.
Double edged sword, don’t give him a go and maybe slows his development curve, give him a go and he crashes his brains out and gets injured. Glad I’m not poor old Mitch at the moment, been a rough few years
I was surprised they actually had him race in the Futures. With him coming off an injury and how SX has been this year for PC I figured the smart move would be to get him ready for MX and not risk an injury.
The whole “Futures” thing seems pretty vague now to me, I can’t decide if it’s amateur factory guys on $50 K bikes, or factory amateur guys on $50 K bikes. Anyhow, let’s make it what it should be, up ‘n comer kids on 125’s, 16 and under. And so, it was written……
