Marv, Coop, and AP are all RedBull athletes through their team deals so if they leave KTM, their RB deals are up.
It would be the most logical and wise decision to keep both of them signed if Honda is serious enough and wants to get a 450 Championship indoors and out...it's been awhile.
Do they need a championship? They seem to sell bikes just fine without one.
Suzuki is worth $18B as a company and we can see how much money they are putting into their program. I would not assume Honda will break the bank to keep Jett and Hunter. They will keep Jett because he is more marketable. Hunter we will see.

In terms of 450 championships, yes they are in need.
Different leadership who doesn’t care so much about winning.
6 months away from Aldon and skipping the nationals has a way of rejuvenating you.

Ferrari doesn't need championships either but it keeps them relevant.
Leadership changed last year at Honda and they immediately confirmed interest in staying in F1. I would not be too quick to make that assumption.
F1 generates a lot more revenue than Motocross.
Does it for a sponsor like Honda providing powertrains? They spend hundreds of millions developing an engine, and all they get is brand awareness. Hard to quantify and as we've seen countless examples of, they often don't stick around long term.

The talk is 450 rides this silly season but the 250 class has just as much movement.
Do we think Mitch will be in position in 2024 to hold a tryout for team spots? Who is guaranteed a PC ride for next year?
If I had my bets I think it'll look something like this. Forkner, Hammaker, Vohland, DiFrancesco. Does Mitch put a 5th guy on the team? Lopes, Mumford, Reynolds, who else?
Id have to think Mosiman is out at TLD, who gets the opportunity there? Mumford has a prior relationship with TLD from his amateur career.
Would love to see a guy like Kelly, Walsh, Wageman, Yoder get a shot at that ride or possibly a Club ride, something with a stronger program put together to elevate there results.
Star has signed every amateur rider so no one to grab coming up. 🤣
Still alot of support rides out there that I hope continue to provide opportunity for these riders as well.

My interest peaks with Sexton and Aldon if he were to go to KTM. Sexton is clearly in great shape and his dad and himself have the reigns on his technique and practiced. Clearly what they do works.
He would be such a perfect fit there with Aldon, Roger, and Ian. I’m sad to see him leave Honda, but I definitely think he’ll thrive with KTM.
Who does star currently have on the amateur program besides Dax? Or you just mean over the years
I was just thinking about Mitch & PC. They have had the worst luck over the last few years, when it wasn't too long ago that Pro Circuit was as much the "dream team" for 250's as Team Honda was for the big bikes back in the 80's. I have always admired Mitch, and I hope he has the opportunity to sign some guys that can actually take it to Star and the KTM/Husky/GasGas teams.

Well Jordon Smith and Deegan are signed for next season, assuming DAX moves up. Not sure what some of the other contracts look like besides Kitchen being a FA
I'm having a hard time seeing the value a top tier trainer like Aldon would have for Sexton. Other than just general change.
Sexton is in great shape and has speed. If Sexton was dropping back at the end of the moto, overweight, had arm pump all the time then I could see what a regimented program would gain him. Clearly the program helped Malcolm and got him fit, but Malcolm unfortunately crashed his way out of contention early in SX.
You are definitely right about his fitness, but I think working with Aldon will also boost his confidence/mental strength.
Dungey was in great shape and worked harder before going to Aldon's. Aldon's program gave him structure. He didn't have to worry about anything. Show up, and here are the programs for the day/week. I believe he said it also helped him on the mental side of things.
Stylze and Thrasher are both signed for next year.
Shimoda with the Lawrence brothers would be a really potent combo. All 3 really gel well together.
