I feel so lucky to watch this era of racing with Tomac crushing it. I was too young to enjoy RC and JS7 in their prime, but this feels just as good.
Really didn’t think Tomac would be able to win tonight, especially after that first practice but he sure turned it on when it counted. Dudes just a beast at Daytona, it’s pretty awesome to see.

For Webb to keep Tomac close all race is impressive especially at Daytona. I’ve been a huge Webb fan since he was on the 150r. I’m really looking forward to the rest of the season, I think a red plate on Webb’s bike is in the near future

I enjoy the broadcast every Saturday and the commentators never bother me - I did notice a difference in the broadcast in that RC was deferring to James much more than he would if it was the standard two man team in the booth. I do think two retired AMA champs is the ticket for the broadcast booth

The performance by Webb and Tomac tonight was incredible. Exactly what you'd expect from two champions. Damn they were hauling ass. I can see this championship battle going down to the wire between those two.
It's an insult to the riders
I can't believe Tomac tied Richard Petty for the most wins. If only Petty hadn't cased that triple one year, he would still be ahead.
100% agree. Or at least 5-6 east west combined races a year.
What they need to do is have some kind of qualifying system and open up 250 to anybody that doesn't qualify for 450. Basically make the 250 class like minor league and 450 major league. Then all the best riders end up in 450 and the rest in 250. This would result in each division having riders much closer in speed, thus creating the most exciting competition for both. It also would allow the most talented to riders to have longer careers, not having to fight for a 450 spot that they may not belong in.

It was funny at first though to see Coop & his KTM skimming them and Eli & Chase behind jumping them.
If those guys are certain that Chase has signed with KTM, all efforts will go toward Jett so that number 1 plate doesn't end up sitting on a KTM next year. HRC will subtly make it difficult for Chase.
