The 23 does feel different from the 22, but is that difference worth 2-3K? Depending on what you want out of your Yamaha? I like stability, so the 22 is more stable to me at this time (only have ridden twice out west and once back east). If you hoped your 22 would corner better then it sounds like you are a candidate to love the 23 YZ450F. My 2022 is dialed in so to me it just depends on how much money you want to spend or save. I just did an updated 2.0 video, that will be up on Racer X that will go over a couple key areas that are different on the track compared to a 22.

Also, just FYI. I don't get BRO deals on Yamahas. HAHA! I get one test bike from Yamaha and if I want another bike for my personal reasons, I pay for one through Power Motorsports. Good deal, but not a "BRO" deal.
To me, the difference is worth it, yes. I'm maybe more on the handling side rather than stability and the new one feels so much lighter, narrower and easy to ride. I really didn't like the 22 that much, i'm in love with this new one. I understand i don't have your level of riding, but to me there's no comparaison between the two Wink

Here's my explaination. Yes, it's in French, sorry about that Grinning

What pegs did you get? Anyone making them yet?
I’m 6’4” so I am planning on running my lowered Raptors. If that’s too low I have a set of regular height Flo pegs

Anybody expecting theirs this month? Any of the testers or media with the bikes having so called clutch issues?

I'm waiting for Keefer, he said he only got 10 hours out of the previous generation clutch. I've got 85 hours on my current 450 with zero clutch issues. If it lasts for him it'll be fine for anyone who doesn't abuse it.

There’s been a rumor that part of the delay releasing it was there was a faulty part in the clutch they had to fix before anyone can get theirs. Who knows if this is true but man they seem to have really botched this release. At what point do they just call it a 2024 model?

You’re right, we are. But figuring that the 23 bikes all dropped around June as they typically do and now yamaha is saying Jan for these 450’s to show up, the 24 models will be 5-6 months behind this 23.

The Yamaha intro was in Spencer our October.

Yamaha's website shows stock at a few dealers in CA and AZ. Hopefully they make it east soon.

I’ve been checking Yamaha’s website quite often and I’ve seen them in UT, OR, MT as well. I’m first on the list at my local dealer in Ohio and my sales guy texted me on 12/9 saying his system is still showing January, but that it’s looking good because the bikes usually come in through the west coast ports.

I called the dealer as I was curious and they do have a blue one in stock. They actually had 2 come in. A Monster Energy edish and this one. This one is still there and has been there for the last 6 days. Someone go buy that bike!

Well that was quick

asking $800 dealer mark up on top of $800 prep

I’ll wait for my Blue one at another dealer

Have you guys checked with Power Motorsports in Oregon ? Probably a good idea to email Keefer and let him out you into his contacts. Their pricing over there is probably the best I've seen when I was looking around.

The Yamaha website inventory search is showing several around here but when you call the dealer they all say the same thing that they have no idea when they will get theirs. I think Yamaha is saying there are more here than there really are. I think a lot of people on the waiting list will get their deposit back and buy something else when they get tired of waiting and very little information from Yamaha.Blush

I’m waiting on mine in nc, hopefully it gets here soon! Anyone figured out if the air filters are the same? I looked on uni and it says the 450 is the same from 18-23. I know the 250f is the same for 23.  I hope it is but looking at the photos I don’t think they are and I have a bunch from my last 2 bikes

Not the same. Twin air has a new one listed but my dealer friend said eta is 2-17-23
