11/24/2025 11:32am Yeah, I’ve seen this motor at the original owners shop. It was just sitting there because at the end of the day it’s old and needs to be rebuilt with parts you’re not getting anymore. But it does have magnesium cases.

3/25/2025 12:39pm These have 2-3 rides max. My dad never really liked them and also stopped riding. There’s a little discoloration from sitting a year or two. Size 14 $400 shipped.

3/2/2025 5:40am I decided to try a mod that Star has been doing. I’m not sure if this is how they do it. I used Time-Serts and installed them into both sides of the frame to now have 4 bolts instead of 2 long bolts and nuts.

1991 Kawasaki KX500 Two-Stroke The bike is better than new. Built to have fun or moto. This bike received a complete restoration from the frame up. One of my 2025 front engine mounts came in and that boy is thick, and weighty. Surprisingly heavy. Here is the difference betweem 2024 and 2025 front engine mounts. Wont be able to test if theres a significant difference this weekend unless the other randomly arrives early. Rear linkage has already been ordered, that'll definitely make a huge difference when installed. I'll keep you posted.

8/1/2024 2:37pm I bought the stiffer hinson spring but I wasnt sure how it would work with the rekluse. I’m going to test it soon. Stock clutch with rekluse plates they were black in 10hrs for me.

Might be. I kept running 300v with the Hinson clutch pack, but changed to SAE oil when I put the Hinson inner hub in, so it definitely could have been the added oil flow. Hinson inner hub has LOTS more holes and reliefs for oil. I’d also recommend the stiffer spring if you ride off road or are hard on clutches. To me that made a noticeable difference. 8/1/2024 2:06pm Judging from the updated clutch for 25 I’d say it’s more an inner hub issue. Ever since I put in the full rekluse my oil barely gets dirty compared to the oem clutch. Oil flow is key.

They fit totally fine for me. And I didn't buy from them (oemdirtbikeparts.com) but do have another source. The used billet caliper is sold. But I do have another new.

4/30/2024 10:55am I’m pretty sure he bought it from this guy. It’s not the differential bore caliper Honda uses but it looks like the other design with the same size pistons. I’m not sure where he’s sourcing them.

4/29/2024 12:47pm Check the main ecu plug. Mine had water and I went through the entire bike with di electric grease and haven’t had an issue since.
