Which bike does that silencer fit?  And yes, Ken should try to keep everything confidential and troll all the way to A1 and make his announcement...

Judging from the location of the mounting bracket looks like Suzuki

I thought HEP was/is a Yosh team?

HEP runs yoshimura, maybe the Suzuki deal is dead.

Media was a little unclear. No announcement was supposed to happen yesterday, just signing the HEP contract if that's the route he chooses. Even if so, its safe to assume no announcement will be made until photo shoots, video etc. can be produced for the official PR. That we have no set date for.

I believe it means he is thanking Mitch for some pipes.

Note that he said, "For my new bike." It could be a personal bike he's riding, completely irrelevant to the machine he'll contracted to race in 2023. Hmmmm, trolling at its finest?

Spoiler Alert-

“Q: HOW MUCH DOES THE 2018 SUZUKI RM-Z450 WEIGH?

A: On MXA’s calibrated balance-beam scale, the Suzuki hits 241 pounds. That is 1 pound heavier than it was in 2017.”

Fortunately for the pro's, they can address this with just spending a little $$$.

You are aware of the weight limit, right??More Ti or less Ti, the relevance is how close to the limit do you get...

That's a Suzuki pipe (see below). He's either trolling because Mitch gave him a pipe for the bike as a parting gift, but he doesn't intend to use it, or HEP switched to Pro Circuit. Either way, it looks like HEP is a done deal.

Yeah right. The Zook is so darn close to the weight limit -just about 30lb over it- that adding too much Ti could be dangerous and get it dqed.

That Suzuki ride by JS7 would win races in 2023 SX against the "newer" bikes.  People are getting too caught up with gimmicky upgrades and changes to newer bikes, some of which make them worse.  But the bottom line is, we all know the only bike that couldn't be competitive in SX the during the last 15yrs was a couple previous generations of the blue pig.  Any color bike can win now, even old yeller with a kick start.

So what’s your handicap on Kenny’s results on the Suzuki this year?

I don’t think Ken will ever be riding those Kawi’s. Sounds like someone already bought them.

Looks like Kenny signed with Suzuki, clearly he just exposed the deal with this Suzuki pc muffler.

Really getting late in the off season it’s only a month out tell A1 you would think he would want to be signed and out testing with the new team. I know he’s a world class rider but he’s going really be behind everyone else on bike testing and setup now .

Either way, I hope it works out for him, but…

15 pounds? Lol Yamaha is 3 pounds lighter

Well, maybe the KTMs. Probably closer to 8-10lbs heavier. Like someone said earlier that the factories can make it lighter with $$$. I’m cautiously optimistic. I want Ken to do well, just the Suzuki that James, Chad, and Ricky won on seems different than this one (not in a good way).

This bike is better than the one that Ricky, James, Reed AND Ken won on.

On top of that, the best bike is the bike you are most comfortable on, not the one that appears to be the best on paper. The kickstarter definitely is dated at this point but ultimately you should only hope to start your bike once per race.

At this stage on the game, any bike is capable of winning with the right rider, especially a bike with tons of work done to it. If Ken is comfortable, it wouldn’t shock me to see him win on any bike (including the ‘Zuk).

Betting against Ken early season is a risky one. How much time will it really take him to gel with a bike and how much fitness will he have lost with a few months off? He might do his usual pass three guys on the first lap and podium, if not win.

I really hope KR94 is on the Suzuki this season. I’m sure he will almost always be a factor at any round of SX. Riders at Kenny’s level can feel every millimeter, every clicker change and any adjustment made to the bike and when he wins a round or podiums that should quiet the Rm army haters. I feel like Kenny is prime for a homecoming .

Yeah, Ken always comes into the season pretty hot since he's been on the 450, other than 2018 which was obviously going to be a very weird night for him no matter what.

He will be able to win on the bike, he can be in title contention. The proof will be whether he can not lose himself in bike setup or health issues by round 9, as those tend to be the problems that arise.

I'm pulling for him, he's the best guy of his generation to not have a 450 SX title (alongside Marvin).

If KR does well on the Suzuki this could inspire them to do greater development of those models. Certainly it will help sell units for Suzuki if the HEP deal is done.

Nothing but benefits for Suzuki regardless of how he does. As long as he stays healthy and un-injured. There must be no doubt that KR will reap major financial rewards for this move. So many eyes will be on him. I imagine he has worked quite a deal in exchange for the massive exposure he will reward his sponsors with this upcoming year.

KR has done an excellent job of building the hype. He will have to do reasonably well for all of this to really pay off and not be dismissed.

Thanks KR for bringing a great deal of excitement to A1.
