Roczen, like most factory pros, could ride literally any bike and finish in roughly the same position he would on any other bike. The differences in testing and settings will result in a few tenths here and there and may result in a position or two when it really comes down to a dogfight between racers, but you're not going to make Kenny into a Supercross champion by changing bikes. You'll likewise not stop him from qualifying for a main, even if you put him on "the damn-awfulest yellow slowzuki that hasn't been updated since 1884 by the nearly bankrupt corporation which is going out of business tomorrow."

He always has shit settings anyway according to his interviews so how much worse can a Zuke be?

Chad podiumed on a Suzuki at age 57, I’m sure Ken would do fine
Both he and the bikes design were the same age.

He was so good that season. it's easy to forget just now special he used to be when you see him slipping back to 8th in some races these days. Gotta wonder how many epic Tomac vs Roczen races/seasons were stolen from us when that arm injury happened.

Best sport in the world but injuries really do suck

I hope he does ride a Suzuki just to shut up a bunch of people claiming it can’t be won on.

He had two years on the factory RMZ. Whatever he’d be on now , probably wouldn’t be as good.

They made a big push for AC as well but we all saw how that panned out. (It didn’t)

I have a feeling Suzuki needs to at the very least get an electric start before a guy at that caliber will sign up to ride it.

Same bike as 2016 to so maybe he would feel right at home.

He better start strengthening that right leg.
Wrong. It's the same bike since 2012 actually. Only BNG's.

You could argue the 2018 update was actually a step backwards in performance from the previous generation.

Someone in Hamamatsu better be figuring out to make 400 units with the RMX-Z cases REAL QUICK (e-start engine). Grinning

I doubt Roczen wins any races regardless of the bike he rides. He’ll be lucky to make mains if he’s on a Zook.
Should we call an ambulance for you? Clearly something is wrong.

Roczen and Brayton both took they’re electric starts OFF their Honda’s in 2018… so I doubt Ken would be bothered

If it wasn't for suzuki threads, vital would need to close for lack of traffic.

Is there a way to add E start to a Suzuki? I know they cant do it in the states due to production rules but do they do it in MXGP or anywhere else? The only I ever saw was on Pastranas 500 that looked crazy

It was a joke. I get tired of correcting people too.

Totally redesigned bike in 2018 with updates in 2020 or 2021 IIRC. the tuner app is a pretty serious change to me. Some overlook it on yellow, while praising it on blue…

Help me understand how 2-3 prods of a kickstarter prior to the race starting makes that big of difference? I can see it on a trail bike as you are frequently stopping and checking things out or resting. On a finely tuned MX racer, at any level, this should be pretty irrelevant. The weight would be an issue, but a serious level pro team could easily shed 15-20 pounds off the bike. The Twisted Tea 250 bikes often got good starts, so power could be had. Suspension is suspension. A good shock/fork guy solves that.

To me, it is the lack of Factory Support and paycheck.

I would like Suzuki to recover, but in today's world, that is highly unlikely!

The kickstarter will have nothing to do with Roczen's decision. You're completely delusional if you think that. This will come down to dollars and cents, period.

What does an electric start have to do with the performance of a bike?
