The kid doing interviews on youtube didn't set this off... (although Brian's live then deleted yt vid certainly didn't help)...

Mxsports set this off by a claim being paid for, but not taken home.... if that bike went home, Zero of this is happening right now....

Im a big Pulp fan and I like Steve but this is such a BS take. He's downplaying everything. It was all a misunderstanding, it's no big deal, that's not how it really went down and Brandon is the one who drug Yamaha's name through the mud....Literally saying a lot of this stuff that happened is opinion and not fact, Brandon was just mistaken.

I like Steve, he's not afraid to speak his mind and piss people off. Calls it like he sees it most of the time but this just stinks. Can you blame him though? Can't speak out against his sponsors and harm his own income. The irony of moto media. No real journalism

continued kudos to ML for asking questions of the right people regarding this issue and letting the people speak for themselves. Back in a previous admin on here, the whole damn topic would have been clipped and it would have been limited to making sure sponsors looked their best, which apparently is kinda what Matthes is doing tonight.

In my opinion JT has the best grasp, jury still out on Steve as we’ll see how he is with Walker….WTF Keefer? He is part of the problem with the industry…rule needs to be change? Blah blah! How about the industry needs to correct itself so something like this doesn’t happen again like don’t show up with a bike you don’t want claimed…he actually said that this wasn’t smart because the kid will get blackballed???

Does anyone get two free motors because they are having problems? Is the kid on a support program or what? Yamaha guy acting like he gives two motors all the time to just help folks out, and it has nothing to do with the claim?!

DB on Main Event Moto doesn’t even want to touch this topic and says he doesn’t really care about it because he thinks the rule is stupid in the first place and he’s behind a paywall with no sponsored ads.

Guess most people don’t want to stir the pot in this tiny industry. To be fair, it would be dumb to bite the hand that feeds you (Yamaha and Pulp) when the rep that handles this isn’t the dude running the entire Yamaha corporation. However, if you’re afraid to step on toes, don’t even address it. Don’t spin the opposite narrative.

Yeah the other day on Twitter Steve was saying nothing special in the Star bikes and any engine guy can build the same. He kinda changed his tune when I called BS and then said with unlimited money and time. Like mentioned above, just step away from the story like Blair if you can’t be objective.
