Remember a few years ago when all the riders shared videos of them opening something and being amazed by what it was and it turned out to be… a new logo for supercross.

It’s them same people that came up with that idea that came up with this. Superduperworldmotodirtscramblingchampionship honestly, crap name

The press release keeps mentioning the word global. What is going to change to take the two series from its current state of being 100% American to being global?
I'm hearing they're hoping to run a round in Taiwan. I believe someone's checking out prospective venues right now.

Does that mean we finally get our combined SuperMotocrossSupremeBroadcast on a single streaming service aswell or will it air on radio this time?

Well, I willing to bet.. WSX is still going to be there more interesting draw.. Why because its going to be going on across the actual world, and not just the usa.

This Supermotocross series will be won by like Dean wilson or Kyle Chiz.
You couldn't be more wrong....All the factory teams are on board and their factory riders will be racing the series....It's the WSX that will be crowning a champion like Dean or Chiz....the WSX seniors tour....

what in the wild wild world of sports is up with the name 🤦‍♂️

why not Grand National Championship … yes with the blue plate and yellow number!

Crown a SX champion and a MX Champion… do the last 3 i’m assuming hybrid tracks and crown the grand national champion that has the most points combined. This acknowledges that both disciplines are different but still places emphasis on both, in addition the SX or MX only contract talk would disappear in order to win the whole thing.

i dunno just a thought

I like where you're going... Maybe make the final 3 an open class. You can run your race bike or prototype, works, electric...

How is it a world championship if they are only allowing people to qualify to race it from ama Supercross and ama motocross?

well glad you asked, supposedly they're taking the Outdoor model to reach more fans.

So the 1st non timed practice session is on : SkyTV
The 2nd Timed qualifying is on: Vimeo
The Heat races are on: Youtube (Mobile only though, to capture gen z eyes)
The 1st main event is on: Instagram shorts, (so you can click through each lap)
Then the Final main event is on: Motoworld/MavTv (To reach maximum fans)
Please don’t give them any ideas. With how narrow minded they are, they’ll take this model serious 😂

That picture is awesome. The best part of this thread by far. Thanks for sharing.

The article DonM linked above IS a must read. Like all things Weege, it is well-written and full of info.

Will there be any changes to the points system for either series?

Will riders still point out the same way and will supermotocross’ points count towards a rider pointing out?

What will the number 1 plate situation be like? Different color backgrounds run the entire year or just number 1 run during the respective series?

Regardless of what anyone else says, I see this as an effort to combat WSX. Nothing wrong with that, but why not just make a grand national championship that pays $1 million bonus to that rider in the 450s then maybe $500,000 to the 250 champion?

Interesting they took away a national but kept all 17 SX rounds. You would almost think the 2 playoff rounds would be mx related then.

Please don't keep the SX model for points. The previous model wasn't broke.

How is the WSX a world championship if it only consists of either retired or privateers that previously raced the AMA SX/MX series....Are there not riders from all over the world racing AMA SX/MX?...

Is there not riders from both sides of the pond racing wsx?
And are said riders only allowed to race wsx only if they earn point in one sides pond series?

Since this thread is full of pessimists, I might as well join the fun.

1. I thought Vital all agreed that current amount of races in a season was already too much?
2. Do SX only racers/contracts need not apply?
