When riding i find my self in tune with the track ahead and super sensitive to whats happening with the bike.
when not taken. I find myself taste testing dirt because ive been distracted by something on the track and my focus has gone else where haha
Aderall use is rampant. You young kids are going to be f-ed when you actually have to function and produce without the use of a performance enhancing drug.
Odd this thread is allowed to stick around given the normal nazi content moderation around here.
Sad times we live in.

During ww2 everyone was on speed. The U.S. was on benzedrine. Post ww2 we were on dextroamphetamine (dexedrine). Adderall is a combination of 4 amphetamine salts (mixture of racemic and dextro amphetamines). As a mixture it is effectively different than pure racemic amphetamine-sulphate, to which I believe only 1 remains on the market today (evekeo). It is also effectively different than pure dextroamphetamine, which remains on the market today as dexedrine, but again this is different than Adderall.
Adderall is definitely different than meth even though they are in the same class. Meth is actually on the market today under the brand name Desoxyn if you can believe it! But again, this is not the same as Adderall. As a HEAVILY reduced example: meth and MDMA (ecstasy) are both amphetamines but they'd feel quite different, wouldn't they?
I have severe ADHD, I've been on various ADHD meds since I was 6, from back before they stuck every hyper kid on it. I'd try the new ones as they came out over the years, but in the end Adderall works the best for me. I need it to function like a normal person. It is not fun for me, it doesn't hype me up like it seems it does for other people. Seems it does the opposite to me, and just allows me to put thoughts together and think clearly enough to actually get something done. I don't see how anyone would enjoy it recreationally, it has many unpleasant side effects and I can't imagine trying to exercise on it. I wont even ride my mountain bike on it, feels extremely unhealthy for the body. Maybe it is different for other people. I wouldn't seek it out for a moto advantage.
TLDR; Adderall sucks, Probably not an advantage in moto
No input on the Adderall besides big shout to McG for doing his own research and taking the correct amount not the prescribed amount, I have to do the same with Tramadol, if I took what the script said I'd be asleep all day, too many people unfortunately just follow what's written.
Thats like giving a fat person 3 tubs of ice cream per day - but they claim they only eat half of one and keep the rest for a rainy day
My script gets 30 x 20mg. I prefer Vyvanse but my insurance pays for Addy. *shrug*
I get home from the track by 2 pm, unload, shower and fall asleep easily. Start the day again at 11 pm with Vyvanse

We all did this without aderall or any other drugs. All we had was Red Bull and coffee. It's utterly pathetic you all can't function without aderall. This isn't "adaptation." It's sad and not sustainable, is what it is. I work with a lot of people in the tech industry today who use aderall and most of them are a mess. They produce, but they are a mess otherwise.
If you are indeed taking it for ADD/ADHD it doesn’t give you the same ‘rush’ as it may to an abuser.
Now if the doctor tells me that I can have 3 tubs of ice cream, I might very well try to figure out how to get a 4th……
The real problem came afterwards. Usually 10-15minute recovery got me into a normal hr zone...not with the adderall. My hr stayed 130-140 (190max) until 9pm that night. Wife packed ice around me on the couch so I could sleep, and should've went to the er.
I have to quit taking 2 days prior to my offroad race.
For example, if I am at work without my meds, I often forget what my last call was about if I get ANY interruption and have to wait 10-30 minutes for it to come to me again. Adderall keeps that from happening.
I've tried countless other things, even hypnosis to try to affect my focus over the years. Nothing works like Adderall. But if I didn't have to take it, I wouldn't. It does affect my sleep but not in the 'stay up and get stuff done' type of way, but the 'can't sleep but stare at the ceiling' type of sleep loss. I have come to work around that with a sleep routine that is almost meditative, and it works 95% of the time for me now.
