If you could be any rider in history...

Fro all day long. He was the epotime of cool and style without having to bleach his hair or pierce his nipples...what dude does that?

Or Christian Craig because his wife is smoking hot.

Pourcel without the sacrum injury. Because he was so damn smooth and talented and amazing to watch.

MC hands down for racing success, money, and all round fun on and off the track. It was the perfect storm of the right rider at the right time. He is the King for more reasons than just his domination at SX.

I'd include Rocket Rex in the entourage to keep us safe in the pits and at all the parties. Jim Holley to organize the talent and Emig to help entertain the talent.... it will be more than a one man job to keep them all happy. Rick Johnson would need a spot in the entourage, and we all know we'd want Dungey out front making us look clean and legit when the police show up to bust the party. RV to man the grill and Weimer behind the bar. Hannah at the door speaking his mind to keep the rif raf out with Peick backing him up with the muscle. More greats and more roles at this party could certainly be added. Laughing

Of course Jlaw has to be driving the party bus. What could go wrong?

I think this is a weird question. People like us see the success but would you really be willing to trade everything and live their life with all the sacrifices, training, stress and injuries?

Either RC or RD, purely because I think they had the best combination of Cash earned /wins/ and lack of severe injuries.

For one day if I could pick the day, JS. For the career and the whole package, MC.

Without the injury related end or damper to their careers I might have said Hannah or RJ.

Jim Holley.
I wasn’t born until the late 80’s but they sound like such an exciting time to be alive. He sounds like he took full advantage of it.

I don't want to know that....

It's like finding out years later that Florence Henderson was messing around with Barry Williams (Greg) from the Brady Bunch.....

McGrath hands down. Great times moving forward and winning during arguably the "funnest" time in moto (90's) and then all kinds of badass stuff after racing.

That'd be cool but I'm not too sure I'd want to grow old in that body, talk about team Advil. Don't think I'd pick Evel Kneivel either Laughing

I'm going with Malcolm Smith, what a life he's lived.

Interesting question....

I'd probably have to go with Reed, hard to argue with his on track career and accomplishments. Some of the TwoTwo Motorsports days woulda been awesome to live. He's also got a smoking hot wife but got to play the field during their swinger days.
wait swingers... when did this become known and how has it not been spoken about

People naming the old timers obviously love the sport more than me. Most of those guys had to work once they retired.
I am going with somebody who made big bucks and got to put their feet up and enjoy themselves from the age of 30 😂

Kevin Windham, no doubt. Long career, assume he made some real money, overcame hard times and just seems like a great life after the racing was done. And his flowing smooth riding must have been a lot of fun from the saddle!

I remember several years back there were some Reed threads where a few people said they hated him because they personally saw him hitting on women who weren't his wife at parties, then some other people hinted that it was a mutual thing for Chad and Ellie. That's all I remember about it, think it was in the early 2010s talking about the mid 2000s.

I'd say Travis Pastrana, but honestly, my body hurts enough now as it is, I wouldn't want to deal with the laundry list of issues he's got with his body.

Gotta go with Dunge, great life, great family, one of the all time greats and still kicking ass just because he wants to. That's the dream man. Also probably one of the healthiest guys injury wise.

Honestly, Dungey.

Had a very healthy, mostly injury-free career. Never had a down season, even in his worst years he was still always a podium guy. Probably one of the most respected and admired men of the sport, received a lot of recognition with the whole ESPYs thing & Wheaties Box, ended his career with a title, and is now racing again and everybody is ecstatic just to see him on the track.

He might've not had the sheer excitement and flare that McGrath and Stew had, but the sport itself is so stressful & anxious that a bit of normalcy and consistency would probably be desired.

Completely agree and you nailed it all on the head. The unrelenting consistency, ability to avoid injury at almost every crash he had and accolades he collected throughout his career make him the top choice for me. His off-the-bike life looks pretty damn sweet too
Dungey for me too. People can say he is boring as hell or whatever they want but he has more balls than 95% of the riders out there. His hand shifting in the Monster Cup...balls......his racing with a broken collarbone...balls. The guy is truly Mr. Low Rider, because he goes a little lower and a little higher than everyone else but is always cool and consistent. The rabbit and the tortoise story.

I know this is pretty specific, but I'll go with Ricky on August 12, 2006 at Spring Creek. The guy lapped the entire field in moto 2! I'm sure you've all seen it, but it's worth the trip to youtube if you haven't. The track was so treacherous, even guys like Stewart, Windham, and Reed were having trouble completing a lap. Ricky was still hitting all the jumps! That had to be an unreal feeling to be that dominant.
