1/21/2024 5:33pm I feel for you and your son. I have a 39 yr old son who is high functioning. He drives (in our small town), has a part time job, and lives on his own. We still have to help him with a lot things, as he can be easily coerced. We started a long time ago planning for his future when we are gone. I believe he could become homeless if our plan doesn't work, but we have back ups in place. If you haven't started a blueprint or outline for your son, please do it now. There are quite...

1/21/2024 8:56am This sounds like my 19yr old son’s behavior. He has severe autism, and has the emotional expressive and receptive capability of a 5 year old. He is frightened by unfamiliar interactions, and will hide his face with his hands like a young child. He’ll run off if he is frightened. Studies show most homeless have mental health difficulties. I worry daily...

3/20/2023 5:51pm I had PF really bad in my right foot. I couldn't walk most mornings and a lot of pain. After DR visits, stretches, icing, etc. I tried a different boot for work and daily shoes. BAM! No more painful PF. I may get a flair up once in a blue moon, but apparently light and thin footwear makes it worse. I went from Oakley work boots to Danner work boots. Went from Adidas minimalist shoes to normal Under Armor shoes. It made a huge difference. Obviously everyone is different, but this was huge for me.

3/18/2023 7:48pm An update, ortho found some tears in both plantar tendons in august, I did the recommended stretching icing etc. it seemed to subside by November, and now it’s back. i try to stretch calves to keep them from tightening but I can feel the tears in the plantar straining while I’m stretching, I think I’m doing more harm than good...

1/1/2023 2:29pm Good angle on the medical note for child care, that may work for a company that has remote options. I live in a state that has a medicaid waiting list ten years long for parent caretakers of disabled children. Even in states where a caregiver can be paid, most of the time they only offer a few hours a week...

1/1/2023 2:22pm I got a bit lucky with my situation. I started working at a credit union call center 10 years ago. After 2 years a position in the real estate dept. opened up for a loan clerk which I jumped at just to GTF out of that miserable call center. Over the next couple years I just worked my way up learning the business and when a position for a mortgage loan processor/underwriter opened up they gave me a chance and I've been doing it ever since. I used to go to the office every day but since I'm in a...

1/1/2023 2:21pm My wife is a medical coder. She got her initial CPC from our local community college but the courses were all online. She gets a lot of WFH offers but really likes where she works. She was able to work from home for a year during quarantine but couldn’t wait to get back to her office again. Most of the WFH offers she gets are contract offers, no benefits. Some are as high as $40+ per hour, but without benefits that is less than she currently makes.

1/1/2023 2:21pm I assume you've already tried Gulfstream and the other aircraft industries? There is an aircraft maintenance tracking/documenting company...can't remember the name. They are 100% virtual. With your background...worth a shot.

1/1/2023 2:20pm Try LinkedIn and Indeed. I’ve been recruited a few times off LinkedIn. Start networking, talk to former colleagues. See what kind of positions related to aircraft maintenance can support at home work. Sales, tech support, consulting, contracting, etc. Search and see what people who had a similar job now do.

6/22/2022 7:05pm Supply chain woes and oil prices result from global economic challenges, not the White House. That being said, the Biden Administration continues to grasp at straws while their own party turns against them. Not saying it would have been significantly better under Trump, but it could not have been much worse.
