A 2016 KTM and a 2023 KTM look almost the same because in many ways they are. Very similar designs with essentially tuning tweaks. Frame stiffness/chassis tuning, engine refinements, suspension improvements etc. Not sure were you're coming from.
I wouldn't say that at all. Maybe the 16-18 gen compared to the 19-22 gen, I can see that. The 23 is a totally different chassis though. The whole backbone/shock tower is totally different. It's almost like a hybrid between a single backbone and a perimeter dual-spar now. Also the subframe is totally different. It's a completely different machine than the '16 and the previous 2 gens, in most ppl's eyes.

As far as the YZF, I am not sure what to expect. I would guess it'll just be more progression of the reverse head design. Would be a shame to bail on that after all the struggles and to finally get it to where it is now. It's really good now. I assume that steering stabilizer (being tested in Japan) will somehow be incorporated.

Almost the same? When you change the frame alone it’s a big change.
Except if the bike has yellow fenders.

Things i would like to see:

- More neutral rider triangle
- Make it more nimble without sacrificing stability, not easy but should be achievable.
- Go to a WP style fork guard style. I hate the bolts and the placement of them on the KYB fork that is on the Yamaha.
- Powerflow kit style air filter
- Fork adjusters that doesn't require tools.
- Firmer seat and a grippier seat cover

Hopefully slimmer!
Yamaha made the already slim 2502t slimmer with new body work, if they thought it was important there, then it should be even more important on the wide body yz’s, lol

Coolest part of the video was the Chiz cameo. Very cool

Let's decode this video.

1) this bike will have magnets that cause the dirt below it to rise from the earth.

2) it will be blue, ultra reliable, and easy to work on.

That's all i've got lol

The only things I got from the video:

1) Made by Yamaha
2) Bike is a 450
3) Bike is blue w/ blue wheels
4) Chiz rode it

That's it.

Keefer says it will be late this year. What is point not telling release date for Yamaha? This years models are sold out and dealers cant get new ones(or current ones).. just cant understand how it will make Yamaha look better just not telling people when we will see new bikes?

I can’t believe how bad Yamaha is at getting bikes over here. One dealer nearby literally just had a ‘21 show up. Easily the worst of the Japanese brands in getting product on the floor.

Because they may not know when. Not only is the world struggling in at best a deep recession, but supply chains are still fragmented AND the Japanese yen is basically a failed currency, meaning that suppliers may not want yen for their goods.

Really interested to see if the YZ250 gets an update from the '99 engine design. I doubt it, but would be cool to see.
