I would have totally agreed with you 6 months ago man, in this age of social media and whatnot, keeping things quiet seems impossible. However Stark kept the Varg, and Yamaha kept the new YZ two strokes, pretty well under wraps and that would have seemed equally crazy, yet here we are... 99% of us were totally surprised when those dropped.

Don't get too excited, this info hasn't been confirmed.

I was just in my local Triumph dealership and one of the sales guys told me that their rep said the new MX bikes would be showing up in 6 months. Finding it hard to believe that they could keep the lid so tight on this, if in fact the bike is almost ready. He also didn't have any details to share, just that the bikes would be in showrooms in 2022.

In 6 months it will be snowing again and 2022 is pretty much gone so they will be out for 2023 if something comes out finally.
That's pretty much inline with the article I posted.

I guess we'll see, but just because we haven't seen a pic of the bikes it doesn't mean they don't exist.

Another manufacturer joining the sport is a good thing.

Cant believe there isnt a single blurred long range pic.. there arent that many place to ride here, let alone any that you could hire out and nobody knows.

Still not convinced,

Still not even a whisper in the local pubs, the factory is 2 miles from me.

Bear in mind that all the new road bikes are ridden round on the roads, with camo and oddball panels and top boxes, to the point where nobody even notices here any more ,

If it is coming i cannot believe it exists and is under wraps. Top marks to them if it is.

Bikes could be being made somewhere else, like India…….!

Wouldn’t surprise me if they ended up farming out the actual construction of the bikes, and maybe even the testing is being done in a more unexpected place as well.

It would be great if someone in the moto media would contact RC and ask for a update?

I'm not too sure that bike testing & development is taking place in Europe nor in Asia...

Well, they’re not testing them in Europe so that explains that. RC and Tedesco aren’t flying over to test supercross in Europe.

Someone put Stark and Yamaha in the same sentence. Like they are comparable companies

As part of the ongoing development of Triumph’s new motocross and enduro competition motorcycle plans, Ricky Carmichael and Iván Cervantes joined the team at the Triumph Factory to review and test the latest development prototypes.

The greatest motocross rider of all time, Ricky Carmichael, and five-time enduro world champion Iván Cervantes, spent the last week with the Triumph motocross and enduro team in the UK.

Receiving a warm welcome from Triumph employees, Ricky and Iván took the time to meet some passionate Triumph fans, before deep diving into development workshops with the design team and testing the latest prototypes, continuing in their unique role of providing invaluable feedback and input into the project.

Ricky Carmichael: “It has been a pleasure to finally come to the Triumph headquarters. Meeting everyone in all of the departments, seeing how it all works and getting to put the names to faces of those that I have been working with for so long. I have been incredibly impressed throughout the project, right from my first test with the team in the US, and it's great to see how much progress they made to this point.

“To see the masterminds at work, and the dedication and motivation from everyone has been absolutely incredible. The sky is the limit and I believe everyone's hard work on this project will mirror the level of the Triumph brand. It is an exciting time to be a part of this historic project!”

Iván Cervantes: “For me, this is a huge moment. We’ve tested the bike many times, but it was wonderful to ride with Ricky in person, and so satisfying to see how happy he is with the setup we’ve developed. We have made some very big steps and some very productive changes, and I’m very happy with where we are.

“I have worked for a long time on this project with an amazing team, who all share the same goal: to be competitive from the very beginning. I can’t wait for the next steps!”

Steve Sargent – Chief Product Officer: “It was a pleasure to have both Ricky and Ivan with us for a whole week and to continue to take full advantage of their experience with the development of our off-road prototypes. Having both legendary motorcycle racers together to contribute to such a crucial phase of the bike’s development is invaluable. Together we share a single-minded ambition to launch motorcycles that are 100% capable of winning, that bring something new and different to riders in both worlds, that encompass all of Triumph’s expertise and capability, and that leverage everything Ricky and Ivan know about winning and developing bikes that deliver consistently race after race.”

So they’ve ridden the bike this week in the UK and nobody has spotted anything??

This is a small island with few tracks worth them testing on.

I'd say to make a pic they'd need something to illustrate...
Apart from jokes, infos are still very confused for us not insiders, still some news of parts coming from other brands.
They seem to be playing the Chad Reed game of teasing without showing

I’ve seen it, it’s heavily under wraps but it’s been tested at practice tracks in the north by former world champs based in the midlands

Test mule engine from another manufacturer but chassis is almost at final spec and using solid components

It was Suzuki frame with their engine in it at testing?

It is not using a Suzuki engine, it’s using an Austrian engine that will not be there for production bikes. Engine is still a long way off but is in development

Ah ok, it was mentioned a few times people thought it was using a Suzuki engine temporarily.

So obviously the KTM engine is only for testing, and will be replaced and Triumph are more than capable of turning out a decent engine, but does this mean it is gonna be a true Triumph ground up job or is there gonna be other parts sharing?

Guessing if the engine is gonna be Triumph and from what else you said it fully confirms it's not gonna be just another different coloured KTM? So that's good news. Is saying Steel or Ali frame giving too much away? Not trying to take the piss just pretty interested. Cheers 👍

From what I saw it was an all black plasticed mule, steel frame, KYB suspension which is nice to see. Some nice components on the one I saw, but not sure if they are just for testing

The engine I have no idea of except it will be developed in house after an agreement fell through with a 3rd party company to produce the engine that is not a current OEM.

Sounds like it’s no where close to being final production stages. Can’t imagine seeing anything from them until 2023 if the engine isn’t even being tested yet. Also seems bizarre to test chassis with a different engine. Engine will affect chassis characteristics.

Will we see Vargs delivered before we even see a picture of a Triumph?

I have a lot more confidence that Triumph will deliver a good bike from nothing compared to Stark delivering a new E-Bike based off a lot of overpromise.

If thety will just copy that engine it will feel same. Development of engine takes time.
