Hell yeah Blake, thanks for the photos and write up. As a Perth native that moved to Vancouver 10 years ago, it's been very interesting watching both races on tv and how different they were. Perth/WA has a big MX/motorsport scene and culture so I'm not surprised on the crowd turnout at all, and the Western Australia tourism board did a great job on the tv coverage of promoting Perth and many of the different regions of WA. Took my family to todays event and they had a great time. They are not big moto fans, so wsx is doing something right. Watching Tomac in person was a highlight. He is just a beast on that bike and to see him race a world class supercross in Perth is pretty special. I will say I enjoy the format. No heats and Lcq’s just fast paced racing for points all night (afternoon!) long. The second 450 race was amazing and my partner was shouting and jumping out of her seat… like I said, she’s not even a big moto...

Yeah, 100% correct. And, why is the flagman waving the white, then checkered flag like the starter at LeMans? (Obviously, the primary reason is to draw attention to the moving flag.) Shouldn't the red cross flag be the focal point?

What a load of crap.....saying he would not be so great with ET etc...It's NOT hate, It's opinion. F' me "hate" this "hate" that. Hate is very real, and causes lots of problems around the world....but internet opinion is not hate. Dazzy might be seeing some real hate directed at Jet behn the scenes but someone saying they might not be as good as someone else...NOT hate!!!

For those laughing at Old Mate for his over tendency to post photos of the Lawrences, or even his own sons, just stop and think about it for a minute: imagine you have twin sons and through your guidance, they make it to the top of the sport nationally with multiple titles, then they go to the States and both manage to make AMA podiums. Then after they’ve flown the coup, you coach another two young brothers, that in turn make it to the level that the Lawrences have, I.e. world class champions. Better times

I understand that many Americans don’t like Diffey, but what most don’t understand is that he comes from a dirt bike family background and is more core than you can appreciate. For me, I’ve grown up with knowing him and his family around local tracks, than as the voice at races, then on Aussie SX on tv, then V8 Supercars and many other motorsports before he went international. I think he sounds more professional than others and that Stew and RC are better in his presence, but of course I’m biased.

I was 15, racing a 1985 CR125. Had never even rode a 250. At a track practice day a regular offered me a ride on his 1984 CR500 if I could start it. The first kick came back and caught my pants....ripped them wide open. But I DID start it on the second try. And my eyeballs almost knocked the goggle lenses out the first time I opened the throttle down a straight. O^O
