Hey everyone,

Just wanted to share a video I thought you may enjoy, I got the opportunity to go up against Nick Romano on his Star Racing 250F on my YZ 250 2 stroke at the South of the Border area qualifier this past weekend. Although the Star bike definitely has the upper hand, I had a blast trying to stay close to it on the old reliable 2 stroke. Even had to throw in a little JS7 wannabe wall jump to try to keep up. Hopefully you all will see the YZ at some outdoor nationals this summer!

Yes you did a good job keeping up with that superstrong 250f with long powercurve with your short and abrupt 2t power. you where also down maby 5hp from him.

It has very minimal head and cylinder work so I can still run cheap gas, I'm running a stock pipe because I broke a Pro Circuit one I had recently, the suspension is stock, and it has vforce reeds. It doesn't sound like much but I always have a blast riding it

Haha I appreciate the kind words but to be fair this was on a track I know I have raced quite a bit more than Nick. Either way I was stoked to be close but he's definitely on his way to being a great pro

Well dang son, you're kinda decent. Romano should dominate Loretta's this year just like he did last year and you definitely kept him honest.

Great ride man. Being that Star bikes' engine probably cost more than your bike, I think it makes you the winner.

Believe it or not no I actually haven't had it re-valved, it's 100% stock with some clicker adjustments. I usually like the stock Yamaha suspension pretty good but it is currently in need of some servicing so it is starting to not work as well. For what it is, the stock Yamaha setup is really really good

Believe it or not no I actually haven't had it re-valved, it's 100% stock with some clicker adjustments. I usually like the stock Yamaha suspension pretty good but it is currently in need of some servicing so it is starting to not work as well. For what it is, the stock Yamaha setup is really really good

Nice riding man!

I have 2 bikes but one of them is a tried and true YZ250 two stroke and I have to say that it is pretty much a perfect bike. Kind of like a jack of all trades. For its' weight, power and handling it hits the spot, mx, trails or whatever.

Also, that wall jump was cooler than the other side of the pillow.
