4/15/2024 5:57pm Put together a small endurocross section to add to our trails, I plan on adding more to it, this was just a trial run. Things I learned: Tires, need way more of them and need to figure out a way to keep them together Logs, the ones I used were way too small, which is a bummer because they required the most effort. Spool, this was the least effort and big fan factor, plan on using a lot more of these. In the video I do a lap on my bike, then a lap on my dad's wanted to get...

4/15/2024 5:57pm The race was two days ago, super fun event. It was time trials so it felt very laid back, the course was less endurocross style than I assumed, and it was pretty short, which was good news for me

4/14/2024 5:51am You really need to figure that out. So, when you cleaned it, you didn't pull the jets out or check the float level? You really have to start with the basics or you're just chasing your tail.

4/14/2024 1:32pm That's a good possibility, but I'd start with correct jetting. Right now, he doesn't even know what jets are in it. I'd check that out before going down the air leak rabbit hole.

4/13/2024 6:05pm IMO, you don't need a jetting kit for the YZ. What jets you have in it now?

4/13/2024 5:38pm Typically, it's a lean condition in the pilot circuit. Should probably be able to correct it with the air screw. If the air screw is in more than one turn from closed, then go to the next size larger pilot jet and start with the air screw at 1.75 turns open and work from there.

Mr. Robinson Added a reply to 1986 Honda CR250 Rebuild - No Spark
3/31/2024 6:34pm I think there are two things that might be wrong with your ignition setup. I think you have a half wave exciter and a full wave CDI. Also, I think the triggers on the flywheel are different from '86 to '91. You should probably get an entire system from the same bike and year, or find an aftermarket system.

3/24/2024 1:52pm I think the Magnum kits are coming with Namura pistons now. Eric Gorr Racing - Big Bore Master List (eric-gorr.com) is supposed to be the designer, so you might contact him, or HOME | magnumdistributing, but I'm sure you can use a WISECO or VERTEX YZ big bore piston in that cylinder. 3/14/2024 12:37pm It was probably Phase Five. They were in Cape Girardeau, Mo. in '85, then moved west. The guy that actually did their engine work is Jon Fitzpatrick. He's still in Cape and runs FTZ Performance.

3/3/2024 3:45pm The best way is to remove the reeds, bolt the cage into place and look through the cage to see if any material is in the way. Most, if not all of that hump you are questioning is probably in a dead area of the cage.

3/1/2024 10:12am Had the bike on the dyno begin this year. We had some troubles with the number reading but the curves looked good. This is the difference between map1 and map2. It retards the timing and makes less power through the curve. Installed the VHM head with the 20.6cc insert, vforce3 reed block and the GYTR flywheel. I rode the bike once last month and it surely runs good. Picks up very fast and pulls strong. I also installed a zeta top bar clamp, mostly because the bar pad will fit better. Don't think it make be a big difference in...

3/1/2024 10:12am I can't see a difference between the two pipes. I will measure them in the future. The pipe does not say yz. It has a different engraving. But it surely fits on a yz.

2/26/2024 5:29pm I assume your kit has a BLUE needle, so try it in the 4th clip. What is your air screw setting? If you're doing 5th gear pinned on roads for extended periods with the BR8 and it hasn't seized, then your main jet must be pretty good.

2/25/2024 1:48pm I agree with FRG01, what's up with the spot, and 70 hrs. on a cast piston in a 125 too much. When all the tiny grooves like you see on the sides of the piston wear off the front and back you're no longer carrying a good film of oil where you need it most and wear accelerates. I would...
