I assume you're talking about the WW Ranch race?? I was struggling and I wasn't even riding, but Herlings smoked everyone during the hottest part of the year. Pretty unlikely any of the tracks this year are worse as far as climate goes.
Glad to hear I wasn't the only spectator on the struggle bus. That was a freaking rough one.

It’s still early in mxgp, but KTM is looking at a season with no titles across SX, MX and MXGP for 250 and 450 if Gasjer can stay healthy and Geartz can hold off Vialle. When was the last time KTM went a full season with no title? If the GPs look lost by the time SX ends, I could see KTM making a lucrative offer to get Herlings to go to America.

Had my hopes up a few different times on this scenario , but it never happened. Right now though......if these stars aren't perfectly aligned , like the way they seem to be at this very moment , then it will never happen. The timing could not be any better than right now!! Please God make this happen!

It would be a good time right now, Tomac hasn't been on this level since Honda last time Herlings was in US Tomac was not at the highest of his level(Honda) but now it would be very interesting to see how those 2 would go.
We haven't even seen him in mx so how do we know what level he's on? Yes he's looking incredible in sx. He looked great in sx in 2020 too. Also he was pretty damn good on the Kawi in '18 and '19. Only reason it got close points wise in '18 was a Red Bud dnf.

Wasn't planning on making any races this year but if he came I would make the trip to Thunder Valley. That said I'm not holding my breath.

No BobbyM? I logged onto this thread specifically to see BobbyM’s reply. I figured he would say something like, “If Herlings crosses the pond, “He’ll wax our asses…and bleach them too!”

But the real question for now is, how is Herlings his injury doing?

We haven’t seen or heard something for quite awhile from there side..

Makes me wonder is it that bad?

If not for Tomac I'd say Herlings doing the nationals is the only shot Austria has at a US title this year and maybe even at any major title as Gasjer and Geerts seem to have control over the GPs. It'd be a great way to shake things up nonetheless.

Jimmy Sloan with the clown comment, I was almost worried you hadn’t seen this thread

If anything it’s more motivation for Tomac to come out and win another championship. If he can beat a healthy and fast Herlings, that’s something to hang the hat on

I think this depends on two things:
1. Does Herlings feel he can be 100% for 1-2 races in to US outdoors. Otherwise no go
2. How much does Infront want/need Herlings in MXGP?

MXGP is loosing it's attraction quickly, snooze fest to say the least, and we are at round 4.

Herlings was on a TV broadcast for the MotoGP a few weeks ago and still couldn't stand on his foot.
He also said he has no idea when he will be able to be back on the bike again.
I have heard he will be at the start in harfsen at the dutch masters on May 1, but that has not yet been officially confirmed.
I don't think even Herlings will be able to be in shape in time for the Nationals.
Talked to my physio about his injury and he said that breaking the heel is a dirty injury and needs a long recovery and that is correct as we can see.

Rob retired quite some time ago, don't think he'd be 100%.

That is very true. One really good buddy of mine broke his heel , foot and ankle so bad about 20 years ago. He went through the next 2 - 3 years in constant pain , to the point where he couldn't even sleep. He got extremely depressed and had told his wife he thought about ending himself.

Long story, short.....they amputated his foot. He now has this badass carbon fiber foot and no pain. Doesn't ride any more but lives a great life.

Also.....the heel I believe was the thing that pretty much destroyed Izzi's career from what I remember.

I wouldn’t count Vialle out just yet. Geerts has been known to have really bad races. It only takes one bad moto and and all of a sudden Vialle is the points leader or really close. He’s only 16 points behind currently. If it weren’t for Vialle’s second moto at Lombardia he would be neck and neck with Geerts in the championship. Vialle has also won the last 2 overalls. 1, 1, 11, 2 are his 4 overall scores on the year. He is absolutely a championship contender. Anyone who thinks otherwise is very naive.

Who cares if he comes over for the nationals? Either come race SX and MX or stay home.

Yeah 2 week or less. I,m in in AtL the 10 forcast is high of 55 low of 37 on a couple days. In the last 10 I,ve seen ovr 30 snow showers the snow squalls r weird. 50 plus cars wrecked when they ran into a wall of snow squalls

Plain wrong. it’s been 6 years since I moved and I still get frostbite when it’s 60 degrees out, I must be broken lol.

😅😅 Well that was blunt! Hey man how have you been? I figure you have been enjoying the sx season this year the way Tomac has dominated. The dude is looking good for sure. I believed he might be better on the Yamaha outdoors but I never thought he would be this good on it in supercross. Especially so quick. Amazing. I think he will be an animal outdoors. If Herlings is healthy and races ama, it will be a showdown for sure.

Please let this happen! But, as others have mentioned in the past, what about all of his other sponsors besides KTM? Especially the Euro centered ones? Can they get enough ROI from Herlings if he is racing here in the US? I am sure the interest in the nationals over in Europe would be off the charts though. I think for KTM they get WAY more exposure having him in the title hunt here versus having no chance of winning the GP title.

He was good on the Kawi but not Honda levels, on this Yammy he looks the best he's looked in SX since the Honda days.

Tomac is a mental rider clearly hes in full confidence mode I would imagine he will bring that to outdoors if he doesn't that would be extremely weird but hey we've seen Tomac do some weird things in the past but something tells me not this time.

If Herlings is healthy and fit, it would be close I think. It would boil down to who kept their cool with all the hype and didn't let their ego cause them to make mistakes trying to beat the other. Also....That French dude (#14) would have something to say about it as well. I don't think it would sit well with him for Herlings to just come over here and beat him in this class/series after being second fiddle to Herlings in the GPs mx2 class as long as he was. I could see Ferrandis going balls out to beat Herlings, and thus creating a problem for Tomac as well. That dude would be in the mix I think.
