I don't put much into the eli getting hurt. He's one of the most durable riders to ever ride. I think he's only missed one race in his 450 career. He just has to mail it in and star gets their first 450 title. Bobby Reagan will have ET3 in bubble wrap during the week lol.

You realized he crashed out in 2015 in round three for the year right? Broke both shoulders. Other than that he’s done good at staying healthy

Eli crashed out of Anaheim 1 in practice his rookie 450 year (2014) and missed several races that season. His longevity has been incredible, but it’s not true that he only missed a single race in his 450 sx career.

Eli has been safely within his comfort zone all year. His enthusiasm after his early success may be scary sign for everyone come outdoors. Hes the only rider i see as a clear title contender both sx/mx i dont think hes even peaked yet this yr as far as his training to go for the double. 29 race season really for someone in his shoes and after last night he can start his outdoor bike prep. Sx/mx/mxon triple crown this yr?? 🏆🏆🏆 Eli you got this 💪💪💪

Stew has 50

Cool.

That just won't happen. Maybe he wins 2-3 more but he will play it very smart now.

Maybe we see a new winner next week.
Even playing it smart, no one but Anderson has his speed over 20 Minutes, not even close. Sexton on a good night maybe, but he still struggles to put 20min worth of consistent top speed laps down. Malcom has the speed, but again not for consistently enough over the 20min to hang with Eli.

He was on Eli's back wheel from the start and Eli gapped him.

Anderson has been really the only one, hopefully he is 100% for next weekend.

With a now even more depleted field, Tomac even with a bad start is 3-4th by the end of lap one and challenging for the lead by end of lap 2 now.

I was never the biggest Eli fan for some reason, more of an Anderson fan, but really enjoying watching Eli this year, he was back to full beast mode tonight coming through the field, on a tight track where everyone was hitting most lines the same.

That’s an eye-opening list. Over his SX career Carmichael had to first dethrone MC, then fight Chad and James. Meanwhile, other than RC, none of Jeremy’s competitors made the top 13. Not sure if that’s a testament to McGrath’s dominance, or a lack of serious competition. Maybe a bit of both.
Bradshaw and McGrath's careers overlapped some. .DB managed to pull off a couple wins in 93.. The first year of McGrath's dominance.

The fight for 2nd is still super interesting. If mookie could pull that off I think that would be another huge step in his 450 career.

People talking about Tomac shutting it down and coasting to the champoinship? I'm sure he'll ride smart, he has been all season, but he's a racer, and obviously the best racer right now. He clearly set the pace last night, and guys made mistakes trying to run that pace. Yes, Anderson has been fast this year, but his fast just looks sketchy and like he could come unglued at any moment. Tomac's speed always looks to be under control.

I think what we're seeing is Eli's comfort zone.

I think it was already over. It was obvious three weeks in this just seemed to be a new Tomac. This is how seasons were all but one season from 93-05.

Tomac typically gets better as the season wears on. It's not going to be easy for anyone else to snag a win as long as he's on two wheels.

I can not wait to see Eli outdoors on this bike. The way he’s cornering and placing the bike where ever he wants right now is incredible. Major props to him and Ricky Gilmour

I will vote that it's a testament to McGrath's skills. He, even more than Stewart , changed SX forever with those bike skill. In my book, regardless of total wins, McGrath will always be the greatest SX rider.

Honestly, I expect Eli to keep pushing his way up the record books for overall wins. He should catch and pass Reed if he keeps this up. Hell, he could still catch Ricky too this season. I know he was on a 1 year deal with an option for a second year next year. My guess is Eli keeps pushing as long as he's having fun, and it sure as hell looks like he's having fun. I'm pulling for him to get all the way to 2nd all time before he hangs it up. Doubt he takes any big risks and plays it smart when the tracks are sketch and he doesn't get a good start, then goes for it when he does get a good start and feels comfortable.

100% agree, he's going to be an opportunist for the rest of the season. If he gets a good start and feels comfortable, he will go for the win. If he feels a bit sketchy, he will probably settle for a halfway decent position. I do see him getting multiple wins and passing Reed for 4th all time.
If he doesn’t catch and pass Reed by the end of this season I think it means he crashed out too. He could be ahead of Reed 3 races from now the way he’s going.

Agreed. I would love to See Malcolm finish second in the final standings. Also hope to see him win a race.

Well Indy has come and gone and ET3 has 4 wins in a row, a 48 point lead, barcia is his main competition now, and alot of momentum. The racing has still been very good but tomac has this in the bag now.

5th place the rest of the way will get it done unless Barcia wins out. Then they would be tied

That and it seem like when Eli tries to cruise it messes him up even more and he ends up having to ride harder the last few rounds. Hopefully he just keep the gas on.

Tomac won't pass McGrath especially with Jett Lawrence in the wings. 2024 if not next year Jett will be in 450 class. Sexton keeps improving and KTM continues to get their bike dialed in. Anderson and Malcolm will alway be a threat for the win.

Not dissing Eli but rub a lamp if you think Eli is going to get 32 more 450 SX wins in today's field.

I don't think I've heard anyone say he's going to catch MC.

No one will ever beat McGrath's record.

Of course he won't beat MC, but he could pass Stewart and RC in just one more year.

I will give credit to ET, damn fine racer, not my fav rider but respect his race craft. For those who thought the Yammy was a pig are eating their words right now, it's a fine bike (like they all are).
