Got some cool news this morning. As of right now, we're scheduled to cross the pond to test the Stark Future VARG in the middle of May. It's a little early but what the heck, let's get the questions in. What is everyone going to want to know about this thing beyond the usual riding impression video?

I cant imagine a gate full of these. Hope it doesn't take the excitement and experience out of going to a race. Without the sound i just don't think it will be the same. I fully see a place for trails, off road etc. keeping noise down.

I want to know what it sounds like ON the bike as it clanks and clunks through the whoops. I’ve heard the silence makes it seem like the electric bikes are falling apart underneath you with all the other noises being heard.

Does the left hand rear brake option still include a foot brake?

What kind of track?

Catanzaro said the Alta was horrible in the sand. I know this bike is supposed to be superior, but that might be a concern for a lot of people.

Personally, I would hate to spend that kind of money only find out it's sub-par in certain conditions. Sand is all we have around my area.

Do you have a link or video? I'd be curious to hear his thoughts about it in the sand

Definitely run time. With the riders you have how long does it last? I’ve been wondering when you all would get to test these can’t wait to hear all about it. I follow stark and the bikes look awesome but I’ve been looking for some more content from them besides the Instagram vids with all the music and short clips

He was riding it at Club MX and commenting as he rode. He hit the sand and said oh this is horrible in the sand. Then he repeated it later on. I never thought of it but it got me thinking. You can’t short shift these things or lug them (like in mud).

I'd like to hear some direct comparisons to the Alta, given that it's the closest electric predecessor to it. Maybe find a babied Alta to ride leading up to the test to freshly compare it to.

Honda, Kawi, Yamaha, and KTM can't imagine it either...and won't. They won't let the AMA allow these in a pro race.

I can't imagine E Bikes being any good on deep sand or mud. I bet they're super fun on hard pack though

What has more stamina, ML512 or the Varg?

I would just like to see a semi fit intermediate ride a mx track from full to dead battery.
Get other guys with different skill to do the same and compare total run time on same track.

Are they going to host you guys in Sweden or someplace else?

When I flew into Arlanda, there was a BITCHING sand track right next to the runway that I landed on.

Ha I’ll be good for a long run when we get there.

And we’re flying to Spain to test it, I’ll be the only rider from Vital onboard. I can only bring myself and our video guy.

Spain, as far as I’m aware.

What kind of maintenance does the powertrain require over the life of the machine?

What kind of software is in the works for allowing the user to “connect” with the bike on a mobile device or laptop? And what kind of data can be extracted?

Has Stark started pursuing homologation for pro racing?

I would highly doubt we are this bike racing against ICE bikes in US Pro Motocross or Supercross unless a third class is added. I think we’ll see it at some one-off Supercross and maybe the new World SX Series.

17 pounds lighter, and the Alta was designed to compete with the 350 while the Stark is compared to a 450.

I'm curious most MX bikes need the counter shaft bearing replaced often can you split the cases on an electric motor easily?

If these can line up with with engine bikes before 250 2 strokes in the 250 class, I'm calling the manager.

I'm into the unsound of things. Always thought the heavier louder things didn't sound great. I think it will be much better after becoming familiar with no ear pain. Poor Barcia though!

This is pretty mundane...but I'm wondering will the head stem , linkage and swing arm pivot bearings be properly greased with high quality waterproof grease from the factory...or should I tear it down and do it myself like I've always done with my Japanese bikes?
As I type this ..its beer o'clock..just got home from a solid day at my local track where I've always been a volunteer track worker...now Im an employee, doing all the tractor work ,maintenance of equipment, cleaning portapotties and the never ending weed whacking! So im gonna grab a couple beers and pedal my mountain bike down the back of the farm I live on and visualise my 3 tracks im gonna have..all natural terrain...marking them out this coming winter!
When that sexy red bike lands on my doorstep...my life is gonna change dramatically!
