No credible doctor or scientist are willing to go on JRE or anywhere else to actually debate these doctors and scientists who are “spreading false information.” They’ve been invited repeatedly but no takers. I wonder why?

What do you know, a cool headed, thoughtful statement that isn’t acting like a spoiled child not getting his way. No wonder everyone thinks he’s the devil.

I wonder if he would stand by Spotify with the same loyalty that he showed the concert venue when he abandoned his position as security guard.

Just like Ive said in the past, Joe is cool AF and a humble, grateful soul. (and many of this viewpoints are far left of my views)

Imagine a world where most people think and act like this cool mofo does.

He stepped in the poo on the Ricky Lee Jones / Joni Mitchell mix-up. I bet Joni popped a blood vessel in her forehead when she heard that. Grinning

You don't walk off the job and leave somebody stranded. Maybe he's gained some character since then.

A 19 year old Joe Rogan was working as a security guard at a place called ‘Great Woods’ in Mansfield, Massachusetts. It’s an outdoor concert amphitheater.

"Neil Young was playing – it was the last day I worked there. I quit while Neil Young was playing.”

“The job was kind of crazy. There were fights and I think I only got, like, $15 an hour. I was not about to get beat up for $15 an hour. I would bring a hoodie with me when I worked so incase sh*t hit the fan and got too crazy, I would just put my hoodie on and leave. I would just cover my security outfit.”

Joe Rogan continues on with the story describing the layout of the venue and that fans started getting rowdy while Neil Young was playing. Rogan recalled bonfires being lit up and he was sent as one of the people to put the fires out while brawls broke out as well.

Joe explained that he wasn’t about to do anything remotely similar to what his bosses wanted him to do, so he zipped up his hoodie and drove home, quitting the job. Joe then said that he started singing “Keep on rocking in the free world.” as he was on his drive back home.

Rogan closed by saying that he has no hard feelings for Neil Young and that he feels a good next step would be to get people on the podcast who have different opinions than he does rather than a podcast which is more like a collective mind.

Joe Rogan turned 19 in August of 1986.

Neil Young wrote that song in February of 1989.........

So there is no way that a 19yo Rogan was singing that song on his way home from that concert.

Does it really matter is he was 19 or 22?
He has told the same concert story several times on the podcast. Unsure about his age each time the story was told.
Dude didn't know what he was in for and chose not to fight tweakers starting fires.

Sadly, somewhere Rogan decided that he`ll go Alex Jones road, simply because there is audience for it. Let`s hope he gets back on track.

If he's telling a false story, then it matters. People are believing his stuff verbatim, so to be so completely careless with the most basic facts should give people at least a moment of pause.

For the record, I like listening to his show. I don't use it as a serious information source, but it is entertaining as hell and brings up issues that make me go and look into, especially some of the crazier sounding stuff. I think he's a great podcast host and generally treats his guests very well, usually doing a decent job of playing devil's advocate with them too.

I can't believe Rogan backpedaled on this. It seems to me he should have Neil Young, Dave Grohl, Joni Mitchell on the show so they can point out the misinformation?

Has he been paid his money or is he getting paid yearly?

It's strange how the Rage Against The Machine crowd from 20(ish) years ago is now raging with the machine.

Exactly, I've listened to a decent amount of his podcasts. He always says that it's an individual decision, and he says that people with underlying health conditions, or people that are older should consider taking the shot, or should talk to their doctors about it.

What's hilarious is here you have a guy who literally came from the "Stick it to the Man", "Question Authority" and "Dont Trust Anyone Over 30" generation, now trusts the Fed implicitly. I dont trust Big Brother no matter who is in office. To quote a line that ole Neil is keenly familiar with,

"There's something happening here, what it is aint exactly clear...."

For what its worth.... Wink
