So you don’t have other shit to do between races? Who cares if they show commercials, a static shot of the track, or the goofy “please stay tuned” graphic with the circles on it?

A lot of people missing the point here. Yes, we have it better than "back in the day." The issue is that Peacock charges $5/mo for premium with ads, and $10/mo for premium without ads. And everyone got ads.

I didn't get ads, just "Coverage will begin shorty" between races.

Would have actually preferred ads in this case. Every time there was silence my wife wanted to chit chat or do something for her

Yeah and last year there was a thread whining about the dead time and they should have ads.

Bro we used to watch races 3 days after the race at midnight. Now you can watch practice all day. You can pause, rewind, rewarch the races all week, etc...

Sit back, relax and enjoy life.

3 days after? You kids had it easy!!!

We used to wait 6 months or so to get snippets of the 500 USGP mixed in with other sports to get our annual MX TV fix…..!
Plus…we had Jackie Stewart as commentator 😳(USGP Carlsbad)

When you pay for no commercials it should be mean no commercials. Maybe I’m old school and expect when you pay for no commercials they don’t run them. I would much rather watch the dozers do work.
If you are "old school" you would stop bitching and agree with the real "old timers" and be grateful like us "old timers" are to watch live supercross every week instead of waiting at the damn mail box thursday afternoon praying cycle news isn't a day late.

Money grab?

This sport we all love is niche.

We will get preempted for a senior women's marble shooting championship.

Free coverage is a confusing mix of multiple channels with some delayed coverage.

But you can pay a pittance and watch them live even though you may have to sit through a commercial filler when there is no racing going on.

Holy crap, find something real to whine about.........

Haven’t watched cable tv in a decade. Felt dirty having my kid sit through commercials. Toxic fast food-like products, self driving car features and Covid tests…

Bait and switch. If you advertise “no ads” it should mean no ads

The way i feel about this argument is the same way i feel about the great "orientation of the toilet paper" debate. I don't give a flying fuck which way you put it, because at the of the day i still get to do what's important to me, which is wiping my ass, or in this case watch the race.

You know the whole argument is we are paying “double” the price and still getting ads. If I didn’t care about ads I would have just paid the 5.99.

That people complained last year about wanting commercials rather than quiet dozer time ranks as one of the oddest examples of human behavior I’ve ever been sadly made witness to. Who in their right mind would WANT commercials?!!!

I actually go to bed, get up at 5 am, and watch the replay. Then I fast forward to the beginning of each heat, lcq, and main event. I’m always watching it alone so it’s the perfect scenario for me.

I don’t know I don’t run peacock but it clearly states you might still see ads. Y’all are gonna have some serious heart problems if you let little shit like this upset you this much.

The ten dollar one. It’s a lot better than listening to a dozer beep around or sitting in silence

I still say have pit cams and let the user switch to whoever they want. Shows sponsors more and kills the dead time. Maybe scroll Series sponsors at the bottom or top then you get to see the sponsors on the truck mechanics working on the bike etc. even add a dozer can if you want to switch to that.

Just show all the transfer spots before going to commercial and I'll be fine.

If they put ads in the nationals though, I'll burn the place to the ground.

Yeah the "Coverage will begin shortly" was pretty annoying. I would get commercials for a minute then this screen for several minutes before they cut back to the broadcast.

Hey the outdoor promoters pay for the TV package and MX sports makes the commercial money as well.
Nothing changes only Feld and MX Sports come out on top here.

damn, if only it was a perfect world....

they did add the capability to rewind in real time... that's a big plus.

and the re-run has all the commercials and down time cut out. that's huge since i normally watch on sundays anyway.

i'm very satisfied with peakcock

So just a quick question did anyone in the US get the feed that had no commercials? Even Premium Plus members (9.99 a month) got the commercials?, or just the Premium members (5.99 a month)?

I didn't get any ads. Unless you mean commercials like "science of supercross", which I think I only saw one.

I was very excited about the option to pause, FF, and Rewind.

Since we have a complaint session going, I am a bit confused/pissed, I tried to watch qualifying after it had ended and it would not play...guessing its only a live stream, which is ok I guess, but them don't put the link/placeholder up there for me to click on....
