Thanks for all the help. I'm doing everything suggested. Please learn from my mistake, insure those toys even if the town you live in seems safe! The soul crushing part of this is the looks on my kids' faces. We were going to race again as a family this Spring.

I doubt you live in NNJ right outside NYC. The last thing that is happening is a reduction in crime. Not only is crime going through the roof, the answers from our governments in these
two states have decided that many crimes are no longer jail worthy, and it has been a revolving door of arrest and release.

A friend was shot in his chest right after pulling cash out the ATM.The shooter took the cash and fled. My friend died. Was it necessary to shot him? These guys don't give a fuck for anothers life.

The OP gets out of his bed each day and goes to work so that he can pay the bills. He works to pay for the roof over his families head. He works to put food on the table and he works to buy those motocycles for his kids.

Ever see the Papillon movie? Serious crime and repeat offenders need to go to a penal colony...that will be a great deterrent.

Scumbag in RI posts on New Year’s Eve, “ima drink and see what happensI have a benz let’s see if I can (expletive) it up. Hours later he rear ends a teenage girl on the highway. Kills her, leaves his car and goes in the woods. Goes back to get something from his car , never checks on her and goes back into woods. Cops bust him hiding under bed in his house. Repeat offender, various crimes including sexual assault and has a suspended license. In and out of prison. Justice of the peace held him on $10k bond. Insane. Glad he couldn’t afford the 10% cash. Police argue later before a real judge for $250k bond and get it. Moot point anyway as another judge holds him as a probation violator or something.

The idea that crime is going "way, way down" seems to fly in the face of what I am seeing /hearing on a daily basis.

I believe what is going way, way down is the accuracy and integrity of information gathering which leads to charts and graphs found online. EVERYTHING you see in the media is massaged/manipulated to produce the desired outcome . If it seems rotten, smells rotten, and flies in the face of what you know and observe on a daily basis, it is likely BS

Gentlemen, the stories I could tell you. I had to leave the courtroom when the father admitting to raping his own 6 year old son tried to claim there were mitigating circumstances and asked for a reduced sentence. The system is done and circling the drain.

Now we find out that our PD didn't even post our bikes on their website. Lost dogs and cats, of course. Since the thieves rode the bikes down Rte 202, a state highway, my wife went to every business asking about possible camera footage. When she told the PD, she was told that the PD knows where all the cameras in town are yet none of the businesses had been contacted to inquire about any footage and that we should let them do their job. I'm offering $500 reward for info leading to my bikes.

You can wipe your ass with the paper that’s printed on. Theft, petty crime and assaults are flying through the roof in my region and many more. Covid resulted in a massive increase in theft and property crimes. People were losing incomes and resorting to stealing. I saw a sign the other day outside a repair shop that said stop stealing our catalytic converters. So there you go boomer, regardless of what your stats say the anecdotal evidence is pretty strong when everyday I see a friend, or a friend of a friend post about their shit getting stolen. I didn’t see the massive amount of posts 2 years ago or even a year ago.
There is no denying the changes recently on charges laid, or lack of I should say. I used to live in San Fran, I had a very high end restaurant in a boutique hotel one block up from union square. I never saw even close to the lawlessness going on in that city then compared to what’s happening now. You would only see that kind of crap in the Tenderloin and a couple other shady areas.

The key to the post that TannerMXer made is in the descriptions and graphs. First of all, theft, looting, and such are not considered violent crimes in most cities and states so they are not part of the considerations these graphs were made on. Furthermore, the definitions of violent crimes have been loosened over the twenty-somethinig years covered in those graphs. The end result is that the cities and states appear to be doing better on crime rates while at the same time things get worse on the streets. Those graphs create money for the individual law enforcement departments and their parent governments.

I was commenting on the fact that dude said the world is going to shit and crime is rampant... when it isn't compared to 40, 30, 20, 10 years ago. We are getting safer and more secure, but it is possible to look up every single crime within seconds.

Go to all your local dealers, spread the word everywhere.

Sure enough, the local Kawasaki dealer service department calls and they have a Z50 that is fouling plugs in for service. Seems the knuckleheads filled the bike with my premix before stealing my bike. I called the police so they meet me at the shop. They (the police) gave me my bike back as long as I didn’t press charges…..the co*k sucker thief was the mayor’s son.
Go to all your local dealers, spread the word everywhere.

I spoke with a local lawyer and both lawyers in my family, and the advice I got was to move on and let it go. In that town the police and mayor were tight and that particular action would have made me a target.

Not sure what world you're living in bud , but my home town is up on violent crime 1,900%.. I guess this past 12 months it's gotten a little better , and now it's only up 800%.

BUT the airtag idea is a great idea! I think I am going to look at getting one to see if I can mount it under the seat or in the airbox somewhere. Would be awesome if they ever were stolen to be able to give law enforcement a location and get the bad guys.
You can give the law enforcement the location, but doubt they'll do anything anymore! My brothers Apple phone was stolen, we tracked the location to a house in some seedy part of town, found a cop and told them the exact location, but without a search warrant, they wouldn't do crap. Told us if they went up to the house, who ever lived there can call them every name in the book and tell them to get the F off their property, and they'd have to, he said it happens all the time. You'd possibly have to watch the location and hopefully get some photo evidence, then maybe they'd step up. A phone isn't worth the hassle of dealing with a possible psychotic homeowner, but some motorcycles probably would be to some?
