It seems like it's as much the forum code as it is the servers. Like quoting a message clearly involves server interaction because it waits on something.

But it's been this way as long as I've been here, and honestly I don't care because I like Vital's interface and structure better than other forums. Mostly cause there isn't a million sub forums and mods running around moving and merging posts all the time.

Mods thank you for letting the forum just fly for the most part, it's what keeps me around and I'll trade a little slowness for that any day.

Theres is many reasons, super badly optimised.

This is without even rendering Ad's which is the majority of the problem, also loading the google tag service costs 3 secs every time as it prevents loading other assets. for example.

This website has always hung on my computer with crazy specs, basically from terrible ass ad services. using ad blocker speeds it up btw.

Unfortunately auto log in also doesn't work at all, and once I logged in, after couple of clicks I have to log in again and, and again. Is it just me, or anyone else have this problem?

And to all in the thread, it's something we're actively working on. The website will be moving to an all-new platform early next year. The front facing side that most of you see won't really change, but our back end and how it operates will be hugely different. Crossing fingers it solves most of this. I'm not the IT guy so I don't have much of a further explanation beyond that. ha!

Yeah it’s slow, sometimes worse than others, but my biggest complaint is “you have automatically been logged out”

Why?
This isn’t internet banking you know..

Sometimes even at the moment I log-in, the van page regresses and says “you have automatically been logged out”
So frustrating..
