I'm happy to clip as many as necessary to make it a user group I (and others) can tolerate. Smile

How that's handled in the future? That's up to them.

I've seen a few comments regarding an update on refunds/missing orders, etc. I haven't posted much as I was working towards righting what we can. I figured this would be better off in a different topic then trying to place it in the last one where it would be lost in the pages.

As of about two weeks ago, WCL had about 26 backorders, the needed products have mostly come into stock and that number as of this week has dropped to five backorders. About half of those orders went out early last week and the other half just went out. Four refunds were issued (including Yeti831's) and I'm waiting for a couple email responses related to some older orders to make sure they're handled correctly.

If anyone has an inquiry about a past order, refund, or there's anything else I can assist with, please reach out to me at MichaelLindsay512@gmail.com

If anyone has an inquiry about current product or looking at new orders, please reach out to Scot@workschassislab.com
It’s a supply management miracle that you were able to flip a switch and reduce your “backorders” by 80% in such a short time period, ironically at the same time(ish) you are transitioning back into Vital and also now done with the race team. Those no-good suppliers must have finally received in your run of the mill small quantities of material and reeaally expedited your small batch jobs through their production schedule to get the job done. Impressive! How’d you accomplish that? I know LOTS of manufacturing companies that would pay you big 💰 to come manage their supply bases right now with supplier delivery result improvements like that.

So were parts really backordered or was WCL simply not placing customer orders in with the supplier? Did your supplier get tired of front running the raw material and labor when bills stopped getting paid? From my decade+ experience in engineering and manufacturing, it’s ultra rare that a supplier in good standing is chronically late with orders IF the buyer is communicating, forecasting well, and paying bills on time. Otherwise that’s a shitty supplier and you cut ties and find a better partner to do business with, especially on simple parts like this that can be made by almost any competent Fab shop in the US.

You want to clear the air and put all this to bed??? Stop pussy-footing around and just say what happened. I’ve read every damn thread/post on this topic the last several weeks and I still don’t understand what’s going on between you and Scot, who’s responsible (or not) for what, is WCL a legit business still?, etc. It’s confusing as fuck. We get that you need to be back “in” with the Forum crowd for your new role, but the whole thing just feels like a facade and saving face event as you transition back.

When I first started to read Jer's comments above I was like "huh".... "where is he going"... but the last paragraph brought it home and I agree with his thoughts.

What's really up? Cough. Don't BS... just lay it out.

I've spent more than $300 on speeding fines. I didn't spend the rest of my valuable time bitching about it on the internet.... after all, time is money.

I do get the point that it's a shit show, and dishonesty and all that. But sometimes in life, we need to move on. Just as I will move on from opening these posts, its none of my business and will do nothing other than waste my own time.

It’s a start.

Only took a heap of threads that were inexplicably swept under the dumbgeon rug, and a public lynching in multiple threads after a few bullshit excuses from a dodgy sweet talker. I just feel sorry for Scot who’s left to pick up all the pieces.
Or, it’s the end of the season and he can now focus on the task at hand.

No problem. So there's a couple situations at hand in relation to your question.

1. As far as I'm aware, we did just receive some Kawasaki and Suzuki product that's been in process for months and had been delayed for quite a while. I think we were supposed to have these almost two months ago. So that covered a portion of the back orders.

2. There was some Yamaha YZ250F product that came in a couple weeks before that, but due to poor communication (mostly on my part) we didn't clear a couple orders that were awaiting that product.

3. We had some orders that had been "fullfilled" website wise, labels printed and sent over to Scot for shipping. (When I hit the road for the summer, I was transferring out more of my duties as I was getting very overwhelmed with the team) And if something wasn't in stock to ship we failed to communicate with one another that it was out of stock until we were getting emails inquiring on where it was.

4. I did not deal with the suppliers of materials and their services for the most part, I know some other suppliers have been looked at and sampled with as there has been a problem with current supplier meeting the dates we were informed that product would be ready. But for the most part, this is out of my wheelhouse so I don't have the most definitive answer.

5. Lack of communication with customers on timelines for these orders is on me, as I've mentioned before, I did a fairly horrible job in this aspect. I bit off more than I could chew, was very deep with multiple duties on the team, stressed out of my mind and dealing with some other stress related issues (and that was prior to getting covid and being worthless towards the end of outdoors), should've managed this part all better.

Unfortunatley some on Vital will find plenty of opportuity for the back ordered items to be used when they become available.

If that were true then you would never have posted in the multiple threads about ML and WCL. You remind me of a little kid just lying his way through shit and actually believing it.

I can't believe this hasn't been clipped yet...or dumbgeon bound. Michael comes on here after being crucified (perhaps somewhat deservingly) for severely dropping the ball...and completely spills his guts, apologizes profusely, and shows remorse...and is working diligently towards making things right with everybody.

...and that just ain't enough for some.

What’s not true?

Your bike is entirely too clean. Do you moto guys even ride or just pretty up your bikes and stand around it in the garage?

What’s not true?

You can't really think we are fucking stupid enough to believe that's "all you were doing"

Get a fucking life dude, maybe go actually ride that dirt bike....or are you Aussies allowed to leave the house yet?

Im terribly the sorry that the truth that’s come out from the last few WCL threads have struck a nerve with you. I’m sure those nuts are still fine to hug next time you see him at the track Wink

I live in the desert too. My bike gets washed once per yr right before winter tear down maintenance. You generally don't have mud and gook getting into all the nook and crannies so it extremely easy to keep it in new looking condition. I just blow off the dust every 4-5 rides to keep it clean during riding season.

If that were true then you would never have posted in the multiple threads about ML and WCL. You remind me of a little kid just lying his way through shit and actually believing it.
