Another guy from that day who knew how to ride a 125, Le Cobra. Sorry about the picture quality it’s a phone photo of an actual photo.

Glad to see my old thread still alive and well. I've had two years off due to injury , but hopefully back on the 125 and 250 here soon.

Mark , how you been?

And Black diesel bomber.......Wow!! What an awesome looking bike my man! Some of the parts you have on that thing are incredible. Definitely one of the best restore jobs I've ever seen.

Doing well Jeffro, thanks for asking!! I miss the vintage scene and my moto friends in the PNW, but other than that I'm loving the moto here in the Southeast!

Love those gold wheels! I did a replica build back in 2001 on my 2000 cr250. Did the jack in the box Honda with the gold talon wheel/hubs combo. Wheels made the bike! Looks awesome great job

Im a older guy 43 and looking to get back into riding moto and ditching the Dual sport single track life for a few more years. my son just out grew his 150r so it’s time for a big bike. Thinking about selling both our bikes and building a sweet 125 that we can ride and share for a year or so then give it to him while I get a new one. Prices are nuts right now for a 125

Sweet… Moved to SC last year and live outside of Greenville. I have some moto buds that live on Lake Murray so familiar with your area. Favorite track in the area is NEXT LVL 101 but just raced this 125 in Indiana 2 weeks ago after training at Chad Reeds Moto 40 track.

Man I like your style with those white and red YZs - my 89 YZ 125 was one of my favorite bikes ever, I bought it brand new when I was a kid!

I like the track revisions at 101 but I hate the fact that they hardly ever open it. I'm probably going to hit that Vurb race there, I read that the vet classes were only on Sunday which would be great. I'm 48.

Revolution is a big, fun, flowing track too if you get a chance to go, it's not to far from you. They will be opening more this fall.

We should link up sometime, I'll keep an eye out for you when I'm riding upstate from now on, I'll be #56 on a Husky 350 or a YoT YZ 125, and I race +40 / 45.

To bad you didn't make it was awesome again. Two qualifiers and lcq and a main just for 40+ 125 only. Practice on Saturday before was great. 21 500's in the 500 class. Thought I was going to get smoked in my qualifier but I got 12th were taking the top 18 to the main.

Cool… Don’t do much modern bike racing anymore. y

My son and I rode and raced almost every week from 2010-16. Started building bikes for VMX and raced every Midwest VMX race from 2016 till covid hit and they shut down the series. Raced a few in FL with the Sunshine State Series. Did Farliegh Castle in the UK 2018 and Diamond Dons in 2019. Raced Daytona VMX this year and jacked my ankle so, with a daughter getting married this Oct. and relaunching my business that had over 25 years in WI., I have toned down the riding significantly and have been selling a lot of my bikes this year 🥺.

PM me when your riding up here though 😁

Raced my SX150 yesterday in open A class against kids less than half my age, and finished mid pack. So much fun and also fast when you keep them on the pipe. Got out dragged once by a 450 and the start was pretty tough, but it was a good feeling beating the hotshot kids on their new 4 strokes Grinning

I was at Daytona vintage this year too... and to bring it full circle....on my '87 125 LOL!!
Our vintage MX scene here in SC is hurting. But I don't have the energy to start my own splinter organization. Oh well.

Picked up a 2019 tc125 to go along side my yz450. Since a spoke with my wallet thread should be reserved for new bikes I figured sharing in here was the next best thing. As a 215lb c class rider I clear everything I do on my 450, just have to work a little harder to do it.

How do those scalvini pipes run performance wise? They look sweet I’ve always wanted one.

They actually work great, I can’t compare the pipe on this bike as I never rode it stock and haven’t spent time to test it against another brand of pipe so far.

However, I had put one of these pipes on my 19 YZ-125 and it was a massive difference from stock. On the YZ I used the Scalvini cone pipe and the Bud racing carbon fiber silencer which again made a huge improvement. A bit on the bottom but definitely made huge gains in the mid and top end as it did not sign off as early and pulls well.

On the KTM I also have the Scalvini carbon silencer which is their MX (longer version) and so far I love this pipe & silencer combo. Sounds great, looks great and runs great so in my opinion it was worth the money.

I don't think its a contest, but you win MxKing809. That thing is soo sweet. Always thought those PC bikes were the pinnacle of coolness, never would've thought to make a 150 clone. Nice job.

Thanks to AJ's jetting, my tc250 is smooth as they come now and it's totally rideable, plus the minimal vibration is sweet, but I can't help thinking it'd be nice to ring a bike out rather than semi-lug it everywhere, cos I've got nowhere near the skill or confidence to hold the 250 open very often...

That keeps bringing me back to looking at 150's, but I'd be working my ass off at my size so just can't commit. This thread doesn't help haha

What does it take to get a 150 have a longer over rev ? Everyone comments the 125s feel better to ride because how much longer the power carries? Are there fixes for the 150 to bring it that next step further?

Replacing stock exhaust with HGS exhaust added a lot more over rev and after I got my cylinder ported on my 150SX it absolutely screams
