That video is from May. When are bikes considered homologated? When they're available for pre-order? When they ship to dealers? When they're actually on dealership floors?
Did you read the link I posted? RV switched to the 2012 at the end of the 2011 season.

At Budd's Creek they still had twin pipes so old model. At this point in the season I doubt they would want to change. I am sure we will see the 2022 at A1 though, and I thought the Star bikes had a bigger advantage indoors than outdoors. Last year at Indy I thought Jett was getting out motored by the blue and green bikes.

From the first ride reviews it sounds like the frame is a little more compliant on the 2022 and the bike more stable so that may help next year when they go back outside.
Red bikes looked good at SLC 2

Coty Shock rode the 2021 450 for the last outdoor last year just after it was announced

I cant imagine Jett swapping to a different chassis in series hunt. Hunter could, just to get a headstart on setup if he wants too.

You wouldn't think so...but that's what RV did in 2011. Why wouldn't they if it was better?

They wont race the new model even if better if they cant get parts for it. Break something moto 1 you can't replace, day is over. Goes for genuine and sponsor product

Parts aren’t a problem. Those bikes have been in containers on ships for months. Other than engine and gearbox it shares parts with the 450 anyway which they have raced all year. I am sure they can come up with enough parts to keep two bikes on the track.

I don't really know, I considered it, but I ordered standard air filter for a couple reason,

-OEM is easier to install, the powerflow add a screw
-OEM style filter are really easy to clean, there is no rubber gromet for a screw, only foam
-Oem is lighter!
-more option for air filter

One thing I will for sure do is remove the backfire screen. Since it is now attached in the airbox instead of on the filter cage, it's is harder to clean and when installing the filter, all your grease is just scrapping on it and clogging it.

Since the filter is now upside down, I don't think there is many risk of any dirt falling in the airboot, that is pretty genius IMO and with the twin air cover, it is a breeze to clean any airbox while powerwashing the bike.
That's a good point about just removing the backfire screen. Is it easy to remove?

And yeah, with my current Yamaha, I stuff the box with towels, then put the cover on. Those covers are not 100 percent waterproof in my experience. Having the filter upside down is certainly a safer design. I will probably still put some shop towels in the box and then then use the twin-air cover. Honestly with 250Fs these days, so long as you keep the oil fresh and the intake clean, they should last at least 50 hours with no other maintenance except a clutch.

Picked mine up today (southeast US). Arrived earlier than expected. Hopefully others don’t have to wait much longer.

These bikes are very different from what you can buy as you might know. Very little stock components in these. Example if suspension is different to current like longer legs has need 2 sets each race bike for rotation plus practice bikes. Same for shock. Could use bottom end but cylinder heads are different so need 2 each bike and practice and need develop new piston to work with new head and intake. Need to make at least 47hp to be better. Rumor is Star making 49-50 with much more torque than CRF. Testing and sorting for all these combinations and proving reliability before racing. If not is a gamble and improvements may not be worth it as DNF looses championship and make new model look bad for purchase.

Bummer. You would think they would have set it up with the hydraulic on this all new model.

According to ride reviews thus far, cable doesn't seem to be a problem at all

That is a good looking machine. I think my buddy is gonna get one soon. He’s either getting a 22 Yamaha or the Honda.

Does anyone if the 2022 CRF250 rad shroud plastics are the exact same as the CRF450?

They are not exactly the same. One says "250" and the other says "450".
