Kenny’s case today was a big one...

Anyone ever case it as bad as he did and save it?

Can’t I imagine he didn’t at least blow his seals out.

That frame needs to go in the nearest dumpster. I'm betting the wheel base was 3/8" longer that it was at the start of the moto.

That was brutal. My only serious injury occurred because I cased an ~60 foot double. Didn't crash but broke my leg.

Props to Ken to keep charging after that one. There’s an uphill triple at my local not as high as the leap but it’s still everything 3rd has on a 450. I clicked 4th in the rough one day last year and did exactly that. I rode it out but had a sprained ankle for 2 months🙄

Couldn’t believe his front wheel didn’t blow apart. That hurt to watch. Why does redbud put the turn so close to the leap and load it with sand the last 3-4 years? Do they not want people jumping it?

Separate the men from the boys!

For real though, it’s cool that it creates a bit of separation between the 250 and 450 guys, but it’s almost pointless to have the jump if only a few 450 guys do it

Landed right in the middle of the face of the landing on a fair race finish double and rode it out. My chin hit my crossbar pad so hard I shattered 3 teeth and my chin burst open in 3 spots needing 16 stitches.

I don't think any 250s this year and only a few 450s. Broadcast said something about the turn before was moved a little closer.

I've done it a few times (I hated jumping)

One time I cased so hard, popped my ACL and more, had to have surgery. Never fell, just rolled back to start, leaned bike on fence and crawled off it.

I actually heard it pop when I cased it/

The most amazing thing about Roczen’s case, wasn’t that landing, it was the fact he sent it the next lap again from the inside!

I raced Red Bud for the first time myself earlier this year, and I can’t fathom how someone could even consider jumping it. You would literally have to be going twice as fast as I do in the corner before it to even have a chance. Racing that track really makes you appreciate the balls and talent of the top riders.

Pretty dumb idea whoever thought to shorten the run up. The jump is arguably the most exciting spectacle/obstacle in the entire series and somehow they feel it'd be more exciting for the fans to have 3 guys jumping it vs guys side by side over it battling for position and 1 or 2 overzealous 250 guys giving it a send. Dear Redbud, quit fucking with that jump.

The YZ's were jumping it almost every lap.

I don't believe Tomac jumped it one time in either moto. He did jump it in the parade lap before the 2nd moto. Roczen did not jump it the lap after his case, but did the next lap. There was a pretty stiff headwind too

I totally agree. I heard the track announcer talking about how everything they do there is all about safety. That was unsafe as hell imho. I was waiting for someone to get landed on. Not ro mention how lame it is when they don't jump it. I'm going to get flamed for this but I think the track is overdue for some changes.
