Ya me either....yet people keep asking.

With COVID-19 shutting down all factories world wide for several months I doubt there will be any changes to the 2022 models due to shortage in designing, testing new designs or making new changed models.

We could do without all the questions nobody has an answer for, but I highly doubt that there won’t be any changes.

Factories in Japan did not shut down for months. There was no mandatory shut down in Japan ever but companies still voluntarily did for short periods. I believe Yamaha's Japan motorcycle production was down for less than 30 days total, and it wasn't even consecutive.

Same will be true for NGK, Renesas, etc. dirt bikes are practically 100% domestically produced over there and the country did not shut down. The Renesas chip factory fire will probably have more of an impact than covid on 2022 models.

I was told that the 2022 KTM's should be at the dealer by the end of this month and I sure hope so because it is time for a fresh one

Sometimes slight updates to an existing platform is a much better product. Like when I sold my 93 CR250 and bought the much anticipated 97 Cr250..... just saying....

Engineers can tele-work. internet and software with VPNs can be accessed from anywhere.....no way they stopped R&D. Hell if anytning the Japanese probably figured out a way to consolidate a huge expense and allows them to reinvest in their products.

Motorcycle companies are in the transportation industry so at least in the United States, were never required to shut down. The test riders based out of California never missed a beat.

I'm looking for a '19 or newer YZ250F to buy later this summer for our son and I can't find one anywhere. Forget getting a decent bike for a reasonable price, the damn things are more rare than unicorns.

I remember as a kid getting pictures of new bikes from ponca city. Seemed most new bikes hit the show rooms around Oct at the earliest.

Yeah, not quite as bad as giving up a 94 for a 97 CR250.

Pretty sure ridenow is one of those low online prices with $2500 in deals fees places. Looks like a great deal until you get there

Correct, locally they are referred to as "ride-me-now". I'll wait for someone (just about anyone) else to have the bikes. Hoping AZ motocity in Anthem gets some in soon. They typically have a "no haggle" OTD price advertised. Show up, buy bike, leave with bike, go ride..... no BS

As much as I miss seeing radical changes, perhaps the bikes are just at a point where there’s not a whole lot left to improve. I don’t want to believe that, and would be cool to see an interview on the subject with some of the R&D team engineers, just to know their thoughts and if there are plans for some truly unique engineering ideas for the next 5-10 years.
