This is glorious. I hope it beats my 30 pager from last year. I'm predicting some BNG and a one pound weight increase.

But Bro. They are good enough for any ViTard. Have YoU SeEn ThE CoNtinGency!!!!!

On supercross live they had someone from VP fuels talk about their race gas (basically an ad).
He said, "We supply fuel for factory honda, factory kawasaki, and I would say factory suzuki, but they are just more of a support and satellite team"

haha

I ride a 2004 KTM 200 EXC. I still have not qualified for ISDE, so am probably not riding to it’s potential. I should go back to a 1980 KTM 175? Nah I could not qualify for ISDE back then either.

I with the OP. I like Suzuki’s and wish they’d even just try a few cheap updates to show they’re interested.

Saves on marketing $ if you change nothing and just ask the janitor to change the wording to last years announcement. They didn’t even mention Bold new graphics this year

Outdated, overweight, and no E-start.....doesn't bother me as Suzukis are still my favorite bikes and if I was buying a new 450 I would buy yellow because they handle like a dream and a kickstarter has never bothered me in 30 years.

It doesn't get any sexier than yellow but the new hondas are a close second place:

Maybe it’s just me ? but it seems like there’s been a few pros that looked smoother and more comfortable when they were on Suzuki’s vs other brands. Reed, RC, Bubba, Dungey, Peick come to mind. I thought those guys looked smooth and relaxed on RMZ’s. I haven’t ridden one, but guys I know that own them say they love how they handle. But until they get the button I think they’re not on most guys radar.
Don’t forget Roczen in 2016. He was unreal on that Suzuki

Pretty sad. I loved my 2010 and 2012 RMZ450s. But in 2022 it's still practically the same bike, weighs 26 lbs more than the 2018 FC350 ($6988 OTD) I ride now, and has inferior brakes, clutch, and build quality. I've owned several Zuke street bikes too dating back to 1981, and still have a classic 79 RM125 in the garage so I count myself among the faithful. But I wouldn't buy their MX bikes now, and I CAN'T buy one for my moto-racing kids. RM85 you say? Please. I haven't seen one of those on a PNW track in 5 years.

Indeed it is very sad to see such an iconic and successful brand like Suzuki basically giving up on motocross.

Total agree.

I bleed yellow and always have. Love my rm 2Ts and 2011 rmz.
Bought the 2018 and had such high hopes and was very underwhelmed.

4 years later, not a single thing has been done and nothing towards the cheap and basic things to sort the major issues.

They wont sell a single one of these, and Japan will pull the pin on the whole Mx lineup.
And rightly so.

RIP.

It must be bad at Suzuki when they don`t even seem to have budget for BNG on the new models.

I love when I see guys in here always acting like they got some inside scoop, or they know someone that knows someone, and so on.

99% time they are just blowing smoke out of their asses and it’s obvious lol.

Suzuki has moved through all of their inventory in dealerships just like all of the other brands because of covid. Demand is still high and supply is low. Consumers, especially those just entering the category, are still enticed to purchase Suzuki's, regardless of whether or not they have BNG or an electric start.

The costs of producing bikes isn't going down. Raw material, manufacturing, labor, and transportation costs are all increasing, substantially. But consumers will still complain when the MSRP, delivery, or setup fees get passed on to them. Suzuki is offering a quality product, at a lower proce point than it's competition, without having to invest significant amounts of capital into R&D, and is still offering it at the same MSRP as last year.

From the outside it appears to be a sound business decision. Is it what the "Core" moto person wants to see? Nope. But I'd also venture to guess that they don't care.

I'm still perfectly happy with my RM and two RMZs but I don't race anymore, just ride my own MX turn track a few times a week. As a 60+ rider I can pretty much guarantee my 20' RMZ250 is a lot easier to ride fast than my riding buddy's 21' KX250. They may not be for the majority of the market they still have a place and a purpose.

I mean, they could have at least sprung the 250F to the typical weight of a 250F rider (150-170).

Same scenario here. I had not been riding/racing in a few years and picked up a basically brand new 2020 RMZ250 for what I thought was a great deal, esp compared to others on the market at the time. Already came with some goodies(exhaust, lowering link, etc) and I re-sprung for my weight and just been riding and riding. Absolutely one of thee most fun bikes I have ever owned...and I have owned a lot. Not the fastest bike, has a kickstarter, blah blah blah. Gets me around a track just as fast as I ever could and a big smile on my face throwing it a corner or tight line. Made coming back from years off an absolute joy for me.

Going from a RMZ, to a CRF to a KX and now a KTM. Suzuki by far had the worst quality parts. The nuts and bolts were junk compared to my other bikes.

I work on all brands every day and I would disagree. Kawasaki has the worst nuts and bolts when you are talking quality. Suzuki has been very good, but Honda is the best of the Japanese for fastener size and quality.

It’s still gonna be more bike than 99.9 of us can use to its full potential.
It won’t have the bells and whistles of a tech marvel but it’ll still be a viable option.
But the brodozers won’t get off the bitchy soapbox.

I can see why they are doing it from a business perspective. They spend precisely $0.00 updating it and still sell every unit produced.

The real question for me is whether or not they will ever release a new bike.

Well.......Yall know I have defended the yellow bikes for the last few years! I have to say this I AM SALTY!!! I feel like zook just gave all us die hard Zook guys the middle finger!!! NOT EVEN BNG????

Yes the bike is a good bike! Yes its more than 99.5% can handle! Yes I still love my 19! BUT REALLY? What does it take to take a really good bike (best looking IMO) and but a Estart and a new shock on it????? I know from insiders they have the design already. They also are shocked to see this and where given no reason for the decision.

Will there be all this hate when the yz125 and yz250 comes out with the same model again since 2006 with no e start? Funny how Suzuki is always the one taking it.

Ok. local A offroad racing, currently ride a KTM. I rode a 2020 with motor mounts a full Yoshi system. The "Good"... The motor is smooth, turning is sharp, the point and shoot feel. The "meh"... Suspension was rough or too soft I couldn't get it right. It doesn't trail well, it will push one way or another coming out of a fast sweeping corner. Lacks the pull in 4th and 5th gear. Personally the seating position isn't as comfortable as the yz or sxf.

I am not bagging on the bike it clearly doens't "suck" but we don't need to say it is fine for most people becuase "yOuRe NoT a PrO"

I am a diehard Suzuki rider. It is the bike I will always buy. So much that I just purchased a 2020 RMZ 450 and love it and got a great price. I get it as to why a lot of people bag on it, but if it is not the bike for you - great, buy something else. They are still in the game for this year so we should celebrate that!!

Covid hits hard.
The '22 Hondas also look exactly like the '21 Hondas. Ok, they got some minor updates on mapping and suspension but compared to what the consumer is used to it's definetely not much. So far the other brands are also a bit reluctant for '22.
That's why I'm not really surprised so see the same exact Suzuki again for '22.
But still hoping for a comeback of the Zook in the next couple of years. 🤞🏻

But so far (sadly):
Suzuki - Don't expect much so you won't be disappointed. 😥
