This man gets it.... ^^^^^ Deterrent is the key word here. Based on some of the responses in this thread, you can see why criminals are so emboldened these days. Realistically, you start with just the tip of a finger. Repeat offender, the whole finger goes. They steal again...a couple more fingers. If it continues, then the hand. Then the other hand. You can't really steal anymore with no hands.

Here’s an easy example to help explain how it works. Have you ever tried to enlarge a picture on your computer? If the original source picture you have is, for example, 100 x 100 pixels and you click and drag or enlarge it to be 500 x 500 pixels, you are not going to end up with a larger image that is more clear and sharper but rather you end up with a larger image that is pixelated/blurry. Been on the search for a dual purpose bike for about two years. Couldn’t justify the COVID bike prices but they seem to be coming down. Anyhow this bike seems to have seen little use, previous original owner said he just wasn’t comfortable riding it off road so mainly used it to ride to work. 1700 miles with 67 hours. Included a bunch of stuff he had, planning on maiden voyage tomorrow! Fits in well with my other bikes, glad I have an understanding wife. Plenty of dudes on here that don’t even ride, or haven’t for 10+ years. I talked to a dude for like 20 minutes at Budds creek about all kinds of techy nerd shit and he told me he hasn’t ridden since ‘95! I think the “our sport” thing comes from being a very niche and small community. I’m loose friends with a few dudes who have qualified for nationals and night shows so it’s pretty cool to feel “connected” to the top of the sport. I think it’s a lot more immersive of a sport to where I can go...

8/17/2022 8:46am It's starting to happen. My local dealer now has 4-5 new 85's in stock that are not presold. It is going to be a long winter and I dont think we are far away from pre-covid times where you can walk in and get any bike you want in stock.

If half of what is in the interview is true and it was up to me; Tim Cotter no longer has a job, neither has the Yamaha rep involved, Brian Deegan and Matt Walker are suspended from attending AMA events, while Star and Yamaha are issued with massive fines on the proviso they issue a public apology to Brennan Schofield. No satisfaction with the apology and they also get further sanctions. Couple of free bikes for Brennan wouldn’t hurt their cause.
