My son has a 2023 KTM 250SXF I want to have the suspension done but the issue is he wants to try and qualify in the jr 250 limited class. Most suspension places I've called have said spring fork conversion but i don't think think its legal in limited has to have stock fork caps any ideas.
I know Racetech makes a spring conversion kit that allows you to keep your stock cap. Think few other companies do too.
LOL at forum censoring cl@ss
It's all about ass, can't let the kids see ass. Might corrupt them.
Internals are open in limited class. Top caps must remain stock. Factory Connection makes a spring conversion that retains the stock caps which keeps you legal
The Shop
DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
Pages 18 and 19 of the rulebook say anything internal is fair game:
AMA 2022 Rulebook, Section 1.2 Motocross Equipment, Subsection C. Limited Class Equipment Standards
1. To be eligible for any LIMITED CLASS, the following ARE NOT PERMITTED to be changed or modified:
...
Front Forks (4)
Front Fork Caps
...
3. The following notes are exceptions to the items listed above:
...
d. (4) OEM front and rear suspension can be altered with internal modifications only. Shock linkage and suspension spring rates may be changed to any commercially available part.
Correct, if you order the RT Spring Conversion with the "Stealth" kit, it comes with a stock cap and is legal in limited classes.
Internal valving and component changes are legal.
You can spring and valve the shock as well and be legal in limited classes.
If you'd like to choose Race Tech, be sure to mention VitalMX for a discount when ordering. If you need any help getting what you need, finding a local tuner, or just want to ask some questions email me at chris@racetech.com.
