the only time a 10+ yr old 250F is worth more than $3000 is if its never been ridden or has very, very low hours

I remember when a guy could barely hope to get 3k out of a 1 year old 250f. They had horrible stigma of blowing up back then though. 2008ish

2020.5 450SX-F Factory Edition with 50 hours on it. Came with Cone Valve forks, Trax shock, Twisted Development mapped Vortex, stock ignition, stock suspension, 5 new air filters, couple oil filters, couple quarts of Motorex, and a brand new radiator (one on the bike is tweaked a little bit).

Bikes always look cleaner in photos. Need to see the bike in person. Also what’s the background in the photos? Nice clean garage? Outside? Still wet from washing?

He deleted the 1st set of pics from inside the garage, a lot of stuff like a bass boat, yzf etc. neither set of pics was the bike wet. None of the Honda letters r wore off the seat, all oem plastic, wheels, bars, etc. not the greatest pics but looks like the correct bolts r on the bike. He posted carb needs tuning- rejet. You hv to rejet twice a day at least on 04,s. I got the cash if he text or calls back I,ll get it tomorrow. 7.45 hr + drive 1 way.

Bikes that should sell for 4,900 riders can’t sell for 3,000. I would say people r not buying right now. Maybe it’s August is that a bad month to sell ?

I guess new bikes are cooling down, too. I haven't seen a new bike less than MSRP since the covid boom. Just saw this on the gram:

It's starting to happen. My local dealer now has 4-5 new 85's in stock that are not presold. It is going to be a long winter and I dont think we are far away from pre-covid times where you can walk in and get any bike you want in stock.

Yup downward slide started couple months ago. Housing, Vehicles, Boats, motorcycles, etc. as soon started ramping up the interest rates. Normalize interest rates to 5-7%. Then all speculation will end.

Was at Philadelphia Cycle Center getting some oil. They have three 2022 CRF250s and three CRF450s. They said it was starting to slow, and then Philly started to crack down on riding bikes in the street, and it tanked. So, good news all around.

All new bikes still sold out here and new bikes coming in small numbers in winter. Some gasgag/ktm models out there that are not preordered but nothing else.

If it is like last year those are the only CRFs that dealer will see for the next year.

I have two bikes listed on marketplace and Craiglist right now. Very low views, zero offers. Both bikes are listed for about 1.5k under new, both bikes are less than two years old with low hours. Things are really slowing down.

1500 under new on a two year old bike I would probably go new instead.

They were 2022s, so I doubt that? I got my 2022 last October. Didn’t have a problem but paid MSRP plus 400 in fees, plus tax.

I think the dealers here got all their 2022s before the new year at least the 250s. They are running through 2023s now.

400 over sticker wasn’t bad this time last year depending on the brand. Kawasaki has rebates now on 2022s but I don’t think anyone else does. I suspect gasgas does but nothing public.

im looking through my database and compared some stuff to last year around this time.

it is regional dependent but there are certain bikes that are still fetching a pretty penny all things considered.

a few years ago this was a $4000 bike all day, maybe $3500 if you were a good haggler

It has around here, except for Cr500s. That particular market is apeshit.

It seems to be. I just bought a 2020 SX125 with 12 hours on the meter for $6800. Bike is like new. It was down from $7400 a couple weeks ago. A decent price IMHO considering the new 22s are $8.5k+ OTD.

Hammer 663s
Austria is offering rebates on new right now. I picked up a '22 MC125 a month ago for $6899 OTD brand new in Gresham Oregon. They even have (or had) $1,000 factory rebate off on the Rockstar Husky 450 and Troy Lee MC450 at the same dealer.
Bike sales are cooling off. The dealers in the NW that have been gouging their customers for the last couple years are even lowering their prices. A buddy of mine that owns a parts shop that consigns used bikes says that many of the bikes aren't selling at any price.

That’s where I bought my 18 fc350 also for 6899 otd. I’ll have to check and see if they have any fc250s.

I agree, I got a couple crazy offers on that 2001 CR500 I found a month ago. What's with this crazy attraction to CR500's? I haven't committed to letting it go yet.

I don’t get the craze on the 500 no one races them. Xmas track way up in the UP of Mi. Had ovr 30 125,s on the gate. Seems like the most popular bike to buy. And there not selling even like new ones with a 3,200 price. Everyone is panicking the economy has been crashed since last Oct. if you made it this far you,ll b ok.

Collectible now I guess. I mean you are keeping it despite the insane offers so you must think it is worth quite a bit.

There seems to be a lot of interest in putting the 500 engine in a new chassis and a used bike is about the only way to get an engine. It is funny because the same people starting to collect them dumped them years ago because they were such bears to ride. A 450 is a lot faster and easier to ride.
