He obviously had a one year supercross season contract...let’s not act like he lost his ride. The contract he signed expired.

He will land a good ride (if he chooses to keep racing) before next season..

I don't like this thought of mine but perhaps Dean gets clipped at the end of the year and that team could sub in Stewart?

It’s all just a shell game

But, that if there’s a new team next year?

I think Malcom is only going to get better. Jason has been there and done that already. Hopefully the Star Yamaha program includes 14, 21 and 27.

Doesn’t sound like he’s too concerned. His contract is up, he had a great year I’m sure he’s entering other offers as we speak, also I’m sure star would gladly have him back next year if he wants. It’s silly season he will be fine

Hear James has been training with sexton so there’s still a possibility of a stew bros team.
Heard the Stewards bought a semi for their own team...

I’m a Mookie fan but interestingly enough he actually scored more points last year for moto concepts. He finished 1 position better in the overall standings this year and the 3rd was a career high but maybe we have seen his ceiling? Just a thought

Star stayed with THOR... just sayin..
Star 450 riders are open to run any gear. AP and Dylan have individual Thor deals. Only the 250 riders are on a team gear sponsorship.

I mean MXGP season hasn't started yet... So technically Steve Dixon could snatch another yankee for his MXGP team. Silly

But he would need to break a lot of piggy banks to convince Mookie to give up on prime bass season opportunities now. Grinning

I think he knew this was the plan the whole time. Sounds like the plan was to have CC move up to a 450 for outdoors and then next year will be DF, CC and 1 more rider (AP or someone else).
I would take Malcolm over Craig any day.
I'm almost going to create a new account so i can thumbs up this a second time.

Maybe he can race supercross championships internationally like Justin Brayton does, he seems to do all right at it.

I don't think Yamaha has the level of contingency programs that some other OEM's have. Maybe I'm wrong...

This is will be massively overlooked as a second page comment but.....

He will be on a Rockstar Husky soon.

We will come back to this when it’s announced.

It's hard to be a mookie fan when he sits out the nationals every year. Mookie looks a lot faster and had better results on a factory bike, he really messed up not doing nationals because he could have landed a factory deal and had much different results.

Mookie nearly died doing the nationals. Never gonna do THAT again. As RC has mentioned repeatedly, Mookie doesn't have the hours RACING against these high-level guys that the rest do. It's just a fact. I like that he's found his level of speed between crashing and going backward. This season is the first I've seen where it appeared he picked up speed and aggression toward the last half season. He's a SX rider. Take it or leave it. I know some of you tough guys will say LEAVE IT but it's not YOUR life we're talking about. You do you.

When is soon? Next month or after summer?

So, I haven’t really seen any racer thank his fans and everyone that has helped him his entire career come back the following year. I’m gonna put in for Mookie stepping away from bikes and taking on his next dream, on the Bass Pro Tour.

Star won’t have the money for him next year with two high paid riders on their 450s next year.

Look for him to swap rides with another top guy.

Whatever the case, if Mookie wants to race next year he’ll find a top tier ride. He has proven two years in a row that he is going to get his team and sponsors hella tv time because he battles for the top 3 almost every heat race and is in the top 8 almost every main. Now he’s learned how to podium and that’s going to just continue into this offseason for him.

I don’t think he’s hit his ceiling yet and I am guessing a lot of other people who’s opinion actually matters probably think the same.

As for the motocross stuff. He said this year he’d do Moto. But the opportunity hasn’t presented himself. Even if he never does outdoors, a team will continue to pay him and put him out there for Supercross. He’ll be the next Justin Brayton if he wants.

Mookie is great, but it’s damn refreshing to see that Motocross still matters! He has a podium and plenty of Top 5s and it’s not enough. If he raced Nationals he would have zero problem getting a ride. Hopefully he gets one anyways.

Not as sure as you sound. I heard AP gone. Mookie talking to Husky.

Am I wrong?

Or you could text me and tell me.

Not saying you’re wrong, I’m hoping you are right...
Mookie would do well on that bike.
Star is killing it on their rider pics, I’m sure they would like a 450 on the podium at most rounds next year, I wouldn’t be surprised to see them spend some money to get one.
I’m just not sure that Jason is their best pick for that spot.

I agree on the Anderson pick. If I’m at Star I bring up Craig and/or Martin. Andos time is past, you’re paying big money for the possibility of exposure.

I'm just wondering how Anderson would do on the Star Yamaha.

I can also see Mookie on the Husky. Of course...I don't know nothin.
