And everyone of them was waved at Wilson once the leaders got close?
Only certain flaggers have blue flags.
The AMA flagger on the straight before the wall turn about hit him with it.
They did their job exactly as they were supposed to.
Blue flag is a courtesy flag. It does not mandate or require any specific action.
You cannot in good conscience compare the two flags
Ken needs to fall back and regroup. Yes, the situation was not managed properly by Wilson, but dwelling on it via social media solves nothing and hinders advancement. He leaves Houston with the points lead, which should be his sole focus, not continuing to reference H2 and H3 flagging.
Also, if Webb wasn’t already in KR’s melon, he is now. Ken’s undeniable talent should erase doubts, but for one reason or another, that pesky KTM rider keeps working his way back into the narrative. And complaining via Instagram will only serve to sharpen Cooper’s mental edge.
Roger D recently compared RC and Marvin, specifically how they responded to on-track miscues. Roger said while MM would take a couple of laps to regroup, the Suzuki team frequently had to remind Ricky of a racing incident. Successful people have an ability to compartmentalize and not allow one event to negatively impact another. Kenny may want to walk away from social media and let his racing do the talking.
Dean makes a significant amount of money based on his social media presence, and by all accounts he's a really good guy (love his annual bike give away). This episode will most definitely hit him in the pocket book when it comes to social media exposure (negative exposure).
There's just no good explanation for what Dean did last night - but clearly he did it.
Pit Row
Good post.
"You are DQd, exit the track"
Blue flag does not mandate a specific action.
BTW, the outdoor rule is this
From the 2020 AMA Rules for Professional Motocross Competition:
iii. Blue Flag: Indicates a rider is about to be overtaken by a faster rider. The overtaken
rider should hold their line and not impede the progress of the faster rider. Riders
disregarding this flag may be black flagged at the discretion of the Race Director.
95% of the time, Deano is a cool and low key rider, so unlike Bam Bam or Forkner, there's plausible deniability for these incidents. But when said incidents are that big and dramatic and out of character for him...I don't buy that he's 100% innocent.
Post a reply to: Oblivious Deano roadblocks Roczen, but at least he's sorry
