Perfect, the springs will ship out tomorrow to Roth Racing.

I am sending a swag pack with shirt/hat/stickers along with a Sag Master tool and Race Tech Suspension Bible directly to Mayson also that will ship tomorrow.

Thanks for organizing this for this young man.

Or hammer i can send out a complete linkage bearing and steering head kit from motosport..which ever u think is best..i wish i lived in cali id help slipdog go thru the bike as im a 30 year bike and car mechanic let meknow what you think is best
I just ordered a steering head kit and upper shock bearing a few minutes ago. Slipdog says the linkage bearings look pretty good - just need cleaned and fresh grease. A clutch kit is a solid idea. I've been very happy with the Tusk HD Competition kit on my boy's KX85. They run really clean so the trans oil lasts a long time.

Sorry I haven't checked in sooner but it's been a busy week for me. For its age, Mayson's bike is in pretty good condition. I pulled off the front end today and the steering bearings were dry and rusty, especially the lower. I wiped them down, ran some fine Emory around the races, and put some fresh grease on them but they are still notchy and need to be replaced. I will check out the swingarm/linkage when I tear the rear apart but like the front end, I'd assume they've never seen anything but the OEM grease. I will also pop off the tank and valve cover and see how the clearances are looking.

Mayson's grandpa Rick is a really nice guy and seems really blown away and appreciative of all the help that is being offered. We spoke for about an hour when he dropped off the bike and he has a cool background and ties to the sport himself.

Mayson weighs 123lbs in street clothes. The bike has the stock springs but the rear is coming in way light at 4,95 on my tester.

Edit: Looks like you guys got him covered, I'm late to the party as usual, lol

Sent £50 (about $65) from Nick in England. Paypal might deduct a few dollars for the international transfer but still should be enough to get the lad a few tanks of gas.

It looks like he could use a gear bag? Unless I overlooked that?

I'll get one headed his way if he needs one.

If hammer gets an update in today and no one has pulled it yet, I will get him new black wheels, spoke kit, and wheel bearings. We will get them relaced up and dialed in. I would order the full Tusk wheel set but they are back ordered!
Unless ML or someone can get John with Dubya involved I’d throw down a couple hundo on a full new set.

I’ll post an updated list once I get to work.

From posts above, a carb kit and a gear bag are both great ideas.

I don’t see helmet listed, any idea on a preference he might have as a brand goes?

Edit: nvm saw a helmet on there. Doesn’t hurt to have another?

Edit again - TLD helmet on the way.

You have local guys like Cole Bridenbaker helping out, and also people creating accounts from across the world just so they can send money for this kid.
Such an incredible thing you've done here, Hammer. I know I'm not the only one who checks this thread every single day just to see some more faith in humanity restored.

I've edited the list above on the fly this morning due to all the activity! Almost 25,000 views and climbing! Vital MX posted on IG and Twitter about this yesterday (A Christmas Story) and it started a whole new round of awareness and interest.

I know a kid lives out near Placerville. He's been my boy's best friend since they were 5. Mayson is 14 and just got a well-used CRF150r. They don't have a ton of $$$. Anyone in the Sac area want to help me give his suspension a rebuild? Both ends need seals, oil, probably bushings. I'll pay for the parts.

Hammer 663s
I'm not a kid with a ton of money either but work on a lot of bikes. In Fairfield area, if he needed any work on the bike, motor or suspension. I can't donate anything but I'd be glad to help him out with a suspension rebuild or any work on the motor, changing tires and all.
