You can repair it but is it worth it? I think a used slip on for these bikes are not that hard to find. 2010-2013 should fit.
I have repaired exhaust mufflers before it is not hard to do. I put a round tube in the vice and lightly tapped around the dent until it was out.
There were premature death reports. And his family responded to those reports but now it is real. Sad to hear he is gone.

I bought a YZ250 '2011 and pulled the engine. When i measured the squish it was 2.0mm. I would like to get it to 1.5mm. Can i just mill the head -0.5mm and not worry about the compression bump? I will cc the head when it is done but if the head shape ... more »

I ran 0.9mm squish with no problems.
Loaded up my yz250 last night. I had to put a strap around the forks to compress them before loading up. There was a lot of room behind the back wheel. This was in a VW caddy maxi

I am buying a YZ250 tomorrow and would like to know how a flywheel weight feels. I sold my yz125 last week and didn't mind the 2 stroke hit but just wanted more power.
Noticed yesterday that Homeland season 9 was out. Binged it in one day and it was great.
The waterpump on the FZ1 are a common problem. There are some writeups of people fixing the issue.
What diameter did you start out with? I have acces to Ø14mm grade 5.

i had a '06 so i replaced the shift stopper and i used a Boyesen rad valve, Get cdi, Modified HGS exhaust by Kemea EMX team and a VHM head with different inserts.
This bike is goint to look amazing and better then new.
What dont you like about the yzf that wants you to buy another bike?
