Who is RC16 and what did he do?

Who's Marcad?
Mikeeep?

What was BobbyM's famous insult?

Did Gman's van really break down?

What would Hannah do. Would Bob have taken the inside line came back on the track and knocked someone of their bike in the process. This happens all the time. If he was already top 5 and came out top 5 I dont see any harm.

Looks like a mistake, but at 22:30 of the video he could have cut to the right and tucked back in behind the guys on the inside. This probably would have put him about mid-pack since he was to the inside. Instead he went to the left and got an advantage IMO.

I think there is too much leniency on situations like this from the Pros to amateurs, and until there is an example made out of someone it will continue to happen.

Watch the video again.....he clearly hits a small rut or loses his balance and it angles him slightly...could he have backed off, maybe, but he didn't choose that line like others have mentioned.

On purpose or not is not relevant. The track was cut, positions gained. What else matters ?

Track cutting aside, the blatant disdain for a teenager that most are obviously jealous of is getting gross

Can you imagine being so shitty of a person you actually needed to create a new account to start a thread bashing this kid?

Thinking this is a new vital low...

I just find it odd how people try to excuse these situations with "well he made a mistake"... No shit. You shouldn't get rewarded for your mistakes in racing. I don't care who it is.

Umm that goes with pretty much every thread on here. Imagine being a man about it and not clicking on the thread to respond or bash the poster.

So do people expect the kid to approach the judges after the race and say “excuse me sir, I think I cut the track, can you please dock me a few positions, k thks bye”

No we expect the kid to not cheat and gain time by cutting the track even if it was a mistake then go on to win the Moto

I can imagine pointing out evidence of people not following the rules and the organizers of competition not penalizing them for it.

Why is that a Vital low?

Good point, do we know if a protest was made?

Regardless, he should have been penalized. He should have started last. Since they didn't penalize him(ridiculous) Brian Deegan should step up and do the right thing.

This is a big deal and could really hurt Haiden's image. His camp need to get on top of this, issue an apology and forfeit his result. It would be the mature thing to do and set a good example.

I don't know Brian Deegan personally, but I think that there is a near-zero percent chance of an apology. I would bet money that their argument would be that he didn't stay on the gas 100%, that even if he accelerated it wasn't as much as the dudes on the track, and that he reentered as safely as possible.

That would be a mistake. This isn't going to go away, and could define people's opinions of Haiden for a long time to come. The video doesn't lie. Sure, you could say, "big deal, it's just one race". But once the image of a cheater has been implanted in people's minds you know how that goes. As a parent Brian has a duty to show his kids what good sportsmanship is. It's his decision to make. Haiden seems like a good kid and he might have just made a mistake and in that split decision didn't fall in line. And it's not just Haiden we're talking about really since the Deegan's are basically a race team at this point. Brian has an image to protect for all his kids.
Lol it will go away and be forgotten in about 3 days. He should have been docked. Most will agree with that. But he’s a kid and this is an amateur event. Shame on the promoter or whoever decided against docking him.

From what I've heard he was protested. The ama wanted to dock him and the promoter advised them not to.

Motocross has rules. Those rules apply whether you earn 7 figures or you are racing the 50cc class at Chicken Licks Raceway. I'm not sure of the rules at the Mini Os, but they are AMA, correct? Here are the stipulations in the 2020 AMA amateur rulebook:

6. Course Cutting
a. Leaving the designated race course is forbidden. A
rider must make every effort to stay on course at all
times. The penalty for course cutting to gain an
advantage will be the loss of finishing positions or a
disqualification.
b. A rider forced off the course may continue the race by
properly re-entering the track at the closest safe point.
While off the course the rider may not accelerate in
an unsafe manner or attempt to gain an advantage.
If a rider accelerates while off the course or cuts large
amounts of the race course, the rider may be
determined to have gained an advantage without
gaining a position.
c. An advantage is not defined by the race position.

Looks like Dangerboy should have been docked positions for accelerating while off course.
He re-entered at the "closest safe point". Did he "Accelerate in an unsafe manner, or attempt to gain an advantage"? I'd say he was just trying to stay where he was. If he did it every moto, yeah, he's cheating.

Saw some YouTube footage and it looked like the others were riding over their heads to try to run the kids pace.

I guess it was addressed at the track and no penalties were given so case closed. Cool

I'm not a Deegan fan, though I respect what they are doing. Some of their "content" is certainly cringe worthy, but faulting them for using their resources to go racing at the highest level they can is ridiculous.
He made a mistake after getting a really good jump out of the gate. He absolutely let off and cruised for a bit once he left the track, anyone who watches the video and doesn't see that, well I don't know what to say.
Did he slow dramatically to enter behind where he was? No. Did he "cut the track" and gain a huge advantage? Also no.
If this was a much lesser known rider it wouldn't be looked at the same by 90% of you guys. He's in the spot light, I get it, but come on this is not Jason Lawrence at Daytona level BS.
Clearly so many of you guys haven't been on a full starting gate before. Wow.

I'm wondering why the promoter advised them not to? Because I also heard that another rider got docked for the same thing.

Asking a question is stirring the shit? Probably because this is my only vital account.

Looks like he had plenty of time to reenter the track before the banners started at the corner. He did go on to win the moto so this kind of thing is gonna get looked at closer than some kid finishing midpack.

What other rider? If you were to say X rider took the same line and they docket him X amount of spots, that would carry some weight. But just say "I heard" this and "I heard" that just makes it sound like you started a new account to stir shit. Get specific or GTFO.
