The new trend of everybody in the industry arguing politics with fans- sucks. It's pointless and won't change any minds, just alienate listeners.

Pourcel was reported to be a douche by basically everyone he met in America.

Baggett comes on Matthes’ show and does interviews with Matthes all the time, this example doesn’t seem relevant at all?

Alessi(s) have brought the criticism on themselves, I don’t remember one time Matthes bashing Alessi for no reason.

Try again....
There was that one incident between Philthy Phil and Alessi up north last year and Matthes of course took his buddy's side and justified it with Alessi's past... He literally started the first paragraph of his article in Racer X with "you know Alessi = controversy"... Yeah not biased at all. Alessi knocked Phil off the track and tried to hold him up the rest of the race, but Phil's response was a lot worse, to say the least.

Anyone who has actually dealt with the Mike and his dad in recent years knows they are good people. They learned their lessons.

Also, I do like Matthes and listen to his podcasts as much as I can find time for. This is probably the ONE incident that sticks in my mind where I felt like he should have stfu, or at least tried to write the article without telling the reader how to feel about Alessi in the first 3 sentences.

Ask me how I know.

Mike was swerving and moving over on Phil so bad that the officials were actually waving the flag at Mike according to multiple witnesses. When's the last time you saw that? I side with Phil on that but I also agreed with the officials on Phil's penalty which Phil wasn't happy with so regardless of my buddy or not, I called it like I saw it on TV and talked to multiple people about.

Was this for the win? Both on the lead lap? I would say that is the first time I've heard of a rider getting flagged for racing for position. I don't recall Emig ever getting flagged for riding a notoriously "wide bike". I wasn't there though, so sure, I can see your side of it if it was indeed THAT bad... maybe.

I respect your position. I simply don't agree with the way you started that article.

I saw a pic of Langston the other day, and I realize he is a retired athlete and all, but man has he put on some weight.

I've black flagged guys before for being dangerous a-holes.... sadly most people do not, regardless of the level of racing, or how dangerous they are being...

I said this in the last thread but GL seemed great with Matthes years ago when Pulp was giving him exposure. GL got all shitfaced and sloppy on the show, and said some really stupid sounding stuff on other interviews. Now he’s embarrassed with an axe to grind.

I’m all for winning races and smashing pussy but maybe don’t say that stuff on the radio if you want to be taken seriously.
What episode was that Pulp podcast?

I like GL and who hasn't done dumb stuff after a few too many?

I thought the episodes were hilarious and I think Pulp Nation loved it too.

Seems like GL had regrets the next day like a 17 year old girl on Prom Night though. He made himself look stupid on his own accord, even though it was hilarious, he shouldn't be mad at Matthes at all.

However, GL is also very strongly anti hunting but still eats meat, so keep in mind he is stupid enough to hate people for killing animals but has no problem eating animals that someone has killed for him. So, when you use logic like that how can we expect you to make rational decisions?

Please don’t talk about logic when you can’t differentiate between eating meat and trophy hunting.

Not sure how you got that from my post.

FWIW I've had banter on Social Media with GL about hunting before, he did not care that I was hunting for meat. Hell, I shoulda saved some screen shots and we probably wouldn't have to worry about him on the broadcast if I passed them along to NBC.

Please enlighten me then.

I hunt for meat, GL has told me I deserve to be shot myself for that, while at the same time cutting in to a juicy steak nightly himself. The absolute definition of no logic and quite frankly just being stupid.

But, I'll be patiently waiting for the logic that you won't be able to come up with to justify that.

For everyone who 'reported' him as a douche you've two people who report him as a nice guy. Ask GuyB, he never had a single problem with the kid.

Credit where credit's due, Matthes made PulpMX a real big name inside our sport. This resulting in the fact that most riders are willing to play along because they know they will benefit from it. Just don't like the 'We are the cool gang, you're not' attitude towards some.

I went riding today - Fox Raceway was almost empty except for ryno on his new CRF 450 and some 3 digit pros that I could only keep up with for two turns maybe.

I'm having trouble with deep ruts in tight turns so I went way out where the supercross track used to be and made myself a turn track and did that for 30 minutes.

FYI Keefer is on the right track with his 2021 KTM 450 suspension settings - 11 bar and 15 clicks out on compression is the sweet spot for me.

I tried MXA's settings and they were way too soft.

9.5 Bar on the front forks for intermediates Jody? really?

Oh wait, do we still talk moto here? I didn't know for sure because I see politics spilled all over the place...

Funny, I don't see any politics.

Of course, we're also missing about six members who forgot that we don't politics in here.

Ask Kyle Bentley how is dealings went with Pourcel. Christopher won two championships with Bentley but he never gave the dude a dollar in bonus money. Theres no rule saying you must bonus your mechanic in a winning season, but it’s the right thing to do. Even if it’s just a small percent, just enough to acknowledge there extra work and personal sacrifices that helped you claim those championships. Especially when you make a million or more in win bonuses alone in two seasons. That said, nobody I ever enjoyed watching ride a dirt bike more than the #377. Unreal talent

I’ve tried to say hello to CP in the pits a few times through the years. He always just acts confused, annoyed and like he doesn’t know English. Not a great way to gain fans but it’s fine because I don’t think he really gives a shit Tongue
