I don't even like to sit through long movies. In this short attention span world Podcasts are lazy journalism. Type your shit up if it's worth hearing/reading. They have software to do that for you. Same goes for Videos. At the very least a summary and menu should be provided.

The guy often has some bits to add or funny stories from years past. Not always just about himself but stuff he got up to with other guys we know of.

Provided we don’t lose any of the guest’s own content, I’m happy for GL to chip in as much as he likes.
Same, I never understand the constant complaining about GL. I never noticed his interjections until it was brought up, and even after that, I still look forward to his stories. It’s meant to be a “hang” and that’s what it sounds like to a T.

I hope the format stays the way it is. I’m always left wanting more. So they’re doing something right.

I have the WORST attention span, ask anyone who knows me, TERRIBLE. I can't hang on for all day long shows.

I need a one hour, jam everything into it along with the kitchen sink, type of show.

Bang, bang, bang, machine gun speed, knock it out and move on. Doing an interview, go "Hey what's up? get it out, let's move on."

Two hours max.

Is there anything like that in moto-pod land?
Weege has some good podcast on the Racerx network that are under an hour.

Honestly, I have no idea how people can listen to these long shows, I could never sit that long.

I listened to GL and Ping twice when I was on long drives, and liked it.

The long shows fill in the long moto trips behind the wheel.

I don't have the attention span for 3+ hours of podcasts, and when I'm on longer road trips I prefer music over podcasts. But... DMXS has gotten the most listening time out of me. They are the funniest and most personable, and I enjoy their interview style and interaction with the guests compared to the others.

I listen to both, and don't care how long it is. I prefer the more honest "inside baseball" aspect of them both. Mathes can stick his foot in his mouth, and that's part of the reason I like it. He can't get out of his own way sometimes and its cringy and funny.
Both shows are great and also suffer for the same reason. Boring guests. They're great when guests speaks well, have a good memory for their career and stories to tell. I usually know within the first 10 minutes if I'm gonna watch the rest of WTS. For Pulp, I'll usually stick around for a guest I'd like to hear from and despite Mathes' foot-in-mouth syndrome, will ask good questions.

I listen to all myself. I love all pulp stuff so they are number one but I also like WTS and main event moto. I drive a lot so I’m thankful for all these choices

Matthes has done more for the sport than Ping. What he has done for privateers should be recognized by the AMA, the amount of money raised, and just him privateer podcasts i wouldn't have a clue who half of them are if it wasn't for him.

I have a job that allows me to wear an ear pod so I can chug through The Steve Matthes Review Pod with JT and Weege, Main Event Moto and then The Pulp MX Show all in one day as I’m working. Then I still have 4 more days to cover until the next race. Grinning

This is really a bummer, that all the guys that used to work together occasionally and do great things. Can no longer get along over the silliest of things. Arguing over twitter and attacking each other over podcasts isn't helping either side.

I listen to both Pulp and Whiskey Throttle pretty much every show. I've come to realize with advanced age that I will not always align with everyone, but that does not mean that I cannot be entertained by them none the less. For example, my alignment is a lot closer to Matthes, as we are both Canadian, raised in the prairies and I'm only a few years older. But, I do find Ping to be hilarious and I think Grant is a very genuine guy and has a sense of humility that most guys with his resume would not have. So even though my socio-political alignment might be a fair ways away from them, I really do enjoy WTS.

The longer the better for me. I am "moto only" when it comes to podcasts and listen to them all week when working on bikes, in the garage, driving, in the shower, walking through Costco etc etc. You would be surprised how easy it is to listen to a 5 hour show plus other short ones. I like music too, but have grown to prefer podcasts unless working out/riding.

Come on now. I love you Ping, but you’ve definitely talked some shit.

Not only did ping talk shit on vital users before working here, he still does it lol.

I like Ping on the show but I cannot stand their producer. They get some good guests and get some good stories.

Others have said it but I have to chime in and say I agree that Langston does a poor job on WTS. Can't count how many times a guest is in the middle of a story the guest is opening up about and I want to hear it , and ...wham, Langston interrupts with some story of his own. Gotta be aggravating for the guest too.

Ping gives me bad vibes. Not a fan. Thought his RacerX columns were entertaining when I was a kid though...

Pulp Mx. I just got back into following this sport this summer. I found pulp Mx on my Apple podcasts and I’m pretty sure I remember seeing whiskey throttle. However, I don’t think that show had recently been updated so I bypassed it. I may have to go go take a look.

Pulp is ok. The rest of them are shit, they just want to be friends with their guests.
I wish Steve would be more of a dick.

Chael Sonnen-type a guy doing motopods would be something fresh.

JT's Industry Seating. Though the last few have been 'listener questions' and not really my thing.

Both shows are different and follow a different format. Great to have something to listen to in the off season.

I honestly don’t get how people’s complaint is the shows too long. Have you heard of the Pause button my fuck lol listen to it until you don’t want to, pause, then resume when you’re interested in listening.

Each episode of the Pulp show I listen thru and thru. Tuesday morning I have about a 45 min drive to work, then I pause it. Because of traffic I have about a 70 min drive home AFTER work, guess what... I resume where I left off. Then I repeat this all week until about Thursday/Friday I’m done. I then listen to all the side podcasts Pulp, Weege, JT do.

85% of my podcast listening is done in the car. Other 15% is while I’m doing household chores.

Whiskey Throttle I listened to heavily in the beginning but I couldn’t keep it up. Haven’t listened to it in several months with similar complaints to what people have already said in here.

I like whiskey. Former pro’s who grew up in the 90’s and 2000’s and can relate with most guests. They obviously care about making the show better and listen to viewer criticism.
